SV is one of the best games I've ever played. It is easily the best solo project out there.

Linux gaming marches forward, Valve waving the flag, contributors in the thousands shoulder to shoulder in formation stepping together. Deck in hand, I cheer from the sidelines as they continue with steady progress.

Quoting: MohandevirLatest I heard about it, DLSS 3 required an RTX 4000 series GPU... Does this DLC support previous versions of DLSS? If not, there is no hurry to publish a Linux version. RTX 4000 gpus are already a niche product, for the moment.Same. I'm not interested in hearing anything more about Nvidia anymore unless it is news they are fully open-sourcing their drivers.
Edit: Personally, I'll wait for Valve to create it's own Raytracing build with a futur version of AMD FSR, approved for the Steam Deck it will have been designed for (Steam Deck 2? Steam Deck 3?). I feel absolutely no hype nor FOMO when it comes to raytracing. My wallet is most grateful.

Quoting: GuestLet me begin by making it clear I hate Windows. There, now that's out of the way I can mention how Valve recently added the ability to use game mode aka the new big picture mode to the desktop client. This means windows users are able to use the new SteamOS UI, even boot right into it if they want.the vast majority of gamers on Steam Deck are sticking to SteamOS which goes to show just how good it is as an experience overallAnd how bad of an experience Windows is.
SteamOS is pretty good (not perfect at all tho), but honestly, it would have to be pretty damn bad for Windows to be the better option.
Windows is fine on desktops, but on touch devices and even more so on handheld devices such as the Deck (gamepad + touch) it just doesn't cut it.

Steam Deck UI comes to Desktop in Beta to replace Big Picture Mode

This is super cool, glad to see they're finally replacing the old Big Picture Mode. I used it exclusively for Steam on the TV in my living room for years until my gaming PC went on the fritz.
I've tried this beta with the flag and for me somehow it has replaced Desktop mode as well! Steam boots right into the new Big Picture mode. I think this may be due to a workaround I had previously configured to force Steam into the SteamIU long before this beta.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyGraveyard Keeper doesn't seem to be part of the sale as such, but it happens to be 50% off right now.I really enjoyed Graveyard Keeper, great for those on in Stardew Valley withdrawal pain. It is not a clone, it's own thing to be certain, but similar in many ways. It's got some great irreverent and dark humor.
