Quoting: tesfabpelActually, it's been quite some time since this game is available on Linux...
The last time I played it was 2015-04-14...
Yes, but now it has officially left the beta phase of development and sports a SteamOS icon, displaying to all who venture upon the game's page that it supports Linux.

Games like Xonotic, SuperTuxKart, Unvanquished, and 0 A.D. could be put on GOG as well now, right? They are all still under development.

Aspyr Media team up with Bloober Team to publish Layers of Fear

Layers of Fear is being published by Aspyr and it's coming to GOG? Outstanding! Perhaps we'll see Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords for Linux come to GOG as well now.

Quoting: tuubiThis might be a bit confusing, but nine isn't in any way part of or tied to radeonsi.
It might as well be considering how Nouveau with Gallium Nine had no effect on 3 out of 4 benchmarks. It's nice to see that AMD has another advantage to hold over Nvidia, making it that tiny bit more competitive. AMD needs it.

Quoting: tuubiMy point is, this combination of nine and radeonsi is awesome, but only for running older windows games with wine.
There are plenty of quality games that use DirectX 9 and are extremely unlikely to come to Linux. I am sure many Linux gamers would love to play Dishonored, for example. It came out in 2012, so it's an older game now, but still, I doubt Linux gamers would mind considering how we seem to be primarily targeted by indie developers.

Seems like AMD's advantages consist of having a capable open source driver and that very same open source driver boasting incontestable, superior performance in Wine with Gallium Nine the vast majority of the time, even overshadowing Nvidia's mighty proprietary driver considerably. Many thanks for these benchmarks, Samsai!

Many of us undoubtedly have games left from our Windows days which are unlikely to come to Linux, or some might even still have Windows around for that one game or two. Needless to say, this alleviates the problem significantly, and makes AMD worth recommending not just if one cares about open source software, but if they do a lot of gaming in Wine as well.

I so hope this means that Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen has a proper chance of coming to Linux as well! Both are by Capcom after all.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyNo apps for Netflix and similar webby multimedia stuff. That's something well within Valve's power to fix, they should get on it.
I may be the minority here, but that's actually the biggest thing that drove me away from the Xbox 360. I wanted a simple videogame system, not an OS that clumsily tries to do everything my computer already does marvellously.
I concur completely, especially as Valve still hasn't implemented Steam Broadcasting for SteamOS; a feature I deem far more relevant to gaming than Netflix.

Quoting: KeyrockAt the very least, they should throw a disclaimer up along the lines of "Not all games pictured are currently native to SteamOS and may require streaming from a Windows PC to play on the NEN Steam Machine".
At 0:38 it says "Not all games illustrated will be available".
Oh my it actually does, I didn't even see it the writing is pretty small.
You and me both. If you missed it, and I missed it, how many others will have missed it as well?
