And... there we go! "Gotta love those Germans! They make great cars." and PC peripherals now. :)
I was soooo hoping they would launch the RGB variant of the Ryos MK at CES!
The Nyth mouse surprised me a little, I love the way you can have a Transformer mouse! They stated “Our growing file library of 3-D printed buttons and side-parts will ensure Nyth users get value out of Nyth years past what anyone else is offering today," So you can change the buttons and layout to make it match what you want it to be? I love my existence in this current time and space as a technology freak.

However, having these native Linux tools is the one thing that keeps me leaning towards buying this particular keyboard. I'm just waiting for CES to see if they unveil anything really new and updated. I can hope can't I?
Edit: Once again, Thanks Liam for the review! I've been waiting for you to publish this since I read the review that Anandtech just put out. Your take on the software is greatly appreciated.

Quoting: EKRboiI want to get a mechanical keyboard and I have been leaning VERY heavily on the Corsair K70 RGB w/ brown switches. However the 3rd party Linux driver/tool still seems to be very much a work in progress.I am in the same boat, I really like the layout and design of the K70 (or any Corsair keyboards for that matter) and absolutely always want dedicated media keys, especially volume as I keep my speakers towards the back edge of my desk out of reach and out of the way. I love the RGB aspect and it would be awesome for using Gimp or Krita, as well as using programming tools with different key groups in different colors.. I'm a night owl and need a backlit keyboard for everything anyway. I don't actually game as much any more, so typing in the dark is especially important to me. That said, I've never felt a keyboard with brown switches, but I think those are the ones I want too.

I like these results as I am in the majority in most categories making me a Linux-based sheep derivative. I use a handy little Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Redmond that works well. I do have a concern though. "GOL reader Soggof is working on a program that takes the csv files from Google Forms and automatically creates graphs comparing previous results." Will this be open source, because if not we may have a FOSS war...

I agree that SteamOS is going to be the big push for Linux gaming. Right now I have a USB thumb drive with SteamOS ready to install on a second system once I get all of the new parts for my new system to complete. I am really curious if it will handle low end hardware any better than a basic install of Ubuntu itself or if it will be the same or even worse, slower. It is probably within the realm of possibility that Valve isn't really taking their time so much as they are making sure that it is stable and performs well. Of course, we know that this all depends on Valve getting the Steam Controller to work extremely fluidly with all of the games under SteamOS as well. Without that, their idea of a Steam Box isn't going to work. Its all about the ease of use for the average end user and not the hard core user. To play something like Civilization V from my couch without a keyboard is a really mind blowing thought.

Quoting: Segata SanshiroLooks absolutely great! I really like the way the articles are presented now, like the headline on top with the speech bubble and stuff :) Hadn't seen that part yet.I feel there should be text as well which isn't showing up. When the page loads on my tablet or phone I see the text "Gaming On Linux" in blue for a second until the logo loads then it disappears. I imagine the text is there as alternate text but disappears once the logo populates in the browser's cache. I am not sure if that is by design or not. Firefox on all 3 devices used. Android 4.4 on my phone, Android 4.2.2 on my tablet, and Firefox DE (Aurora) on my desktop.
Any way we could have "GamingOnLinux" back at the top though? Penguin looks a bit lonely there, has done for a while now.

Quoting: StianTheDarkIcona overlap text and buttons on mobile, make them a bit smaller?I don't see this, however on my phone or tablet in portrait mode there is no icon for the menu but you can click the top right side of the header and the menu appears.

Kudos, This is much easier on the eyes for me. It is also scaling well on both my tablet and phone with Firefox. Easily readable on both. Congrats! :woot:

Full disclosure here... My brother just gifted Beyond Earth to me through Steam. I don't need a key now, but I still love me some GamingOnLinux.com and Aspyr Media! Give the keys to someone deserving, like those other folks that follow GoL and Aspyr on social media. Wacka-wacka doo-doo ya!
