I used to support and didn't realise it had stopped. Not sure why or when that happened, but have joined again.
One point, unless there is a secret Supporter forum still lurking, I assume that was also removed when the changes were made a while back as it just goes to a 404 warning. Might want to remove that offered to users when they link themselves in the user settings.

Their former business guy who ran their podcast was one of their main advocates for the push to Linux. If I remember correctly, he had mentioned that it might be difficult for them to justify long term if the market didn't support that option, but that they did have a solid % of Linux users and had good bug reports from them. However, with him gone for a while now and Paradox moving onto new projects, it seems his prediction has come true.
I've always enjoyed Paradox games, and they were one of the few companies I pre-ordered from and tried to buy early and at full price, because of the quality of the games and their Linux support. However, their quality has dropped and I'd already begun buying and playing them less due to that. The removal of native Linux support doesn't mean I'll ignore their games, but the accompanying issues with bugs and many DLCs being a bit sparse for the price means that no native Linux pushes them even more into ones that I will likely only buy later in a heavy sale.

I absolutely agree. I've been playing Trese games since their earliest days and it's always been a superb experience. They engage really well with their players and just keep on plugging away, balancing, fixing, and adding new content long past when most other devs would have done. Worth every penny and one of the few where I make sure I pay the full price rather than via a sale.
Steam Controller 2 is apparently a thing and being 'tooled for a mass production' plus a new VR controller

I hope it is the Deck control system but as a controller only. That would significantly expand my use of it as I rarely dock on my TV. I play with my old PS4 controller if I do, but I want the Deck control schemes so it's more natural to swap back and forth.
The 1.0 release for 7 Days to Die is finally here

Quoting: AllocI'd say that EAC needs that note more than Vulkan. I've never had a crash due to Vulkan but EAC has long caused disconnect issues and I have to disable it my clientside even when the server isn't using it. Modless and fresh install with nothing weird being done by me.but they still have a note that the Vulkan version isn't fully supportedYeah, I should probably remove that text by now :D
Thing is that Vulkan is so extremely dependent on the HW/OS/drivers/Unity combination that it can easily crash whereas GlCore might be way worse at performance but it's typically rock stable.

Quoting: stormtuxI've been running it natively and no issues either. I would advise trying turning off EAC entirely. That thing has been bugged in 7d for ages and it was crashing me out of my friend's server even when disabled his end, till I disabled it on the client too.Quoting: AllocOne could also conclude you have encountered a bug that no one else has ;)Hoo no, I'm not that special
I checked how they handle bug reports and found it is all done on the official forums (and the known issues are published though a spreadsheet on google docs ). There is already one bug report similar to my problem but they have some problem reproducing the crash. I added a new report with my logs hoping to help.
SteamOS 3.6.3 Preview for Steam Deck up, plus a new stable Steam Client Update for all

Quoting: syxbitAny idea on how the beta is going? I know the 3.5 update took a super long time to go to the stable channel. Hopefully OS updates go faster in the future.Yes, I am really hoping the Steam Family changes get pushed to Stable soon. I recently bought my two children and my wife a Deck each and the new family mode works superbly. They're sharing my library happily and it's led to ongoing purchases for them as we get into multiplayer games that need a licence each, and the kids send me purchase requests when they find titles they want to pickup that suit their tastes.

Quoting: SupayIt's also now been confirmed that Embracer are dumping nearly 1 billion Euros of debt onto Asmodee when they split them off, to pay off their own debts.Quoting: EriYeah, I just discovered that the Lookout Games (German boardgame company) webstore and replacement parts service has been shutdown after Asmodee, owned by Embracer, bought them up. They were superb and really good at sorting any product issues and a way to buy harder to get game expansions even if only in German. It meant redundancies too. Bloody cost cutting, carving up good quality and still profitable companies just to squeeze out more profit.Quoting: slaapliedjeWeird, I swear I'd seen that Project Zomboid had left early access, but I just confirmed it's still in it. For the most part, I've stopped buying games that are in EA, mostly due to 7 days to die... some of them along the ways have had full releases, but some of them basically just grab the money then flounder...We are on the same boat there, It takes a lot to make me buy an EA because of past experiences that left a bad taste in my mouth. But right now I'm very tempted to buy Deep Rock Galactic Survivor just because DRG, I'm holding my self because unfinished game + Embracer Group is a risky combo right now, cancellation can be always behind the next corner.
I bought one game (A VR RPG) where the single developer actually died after he released a really sweet demo...

I understand they're probably under pressure to finally release, and they've got a good base now with the current random world gen being a marked improvement on the previous world gen results with wonky roads and weird town layouts, but it really needs those content extras they've been talking about for ages and which still seem to be a good 2 years away at best. NPC bandits to mix it up a bit alongside the zombies, more events other than the airdrops and very occasional minor horde, and just anything else that makes the world itself feel a bit more alive.
Seeing how long it is before a lot of those core features are out, I think they should have made Steam workshop a significant priority. Mods for 7 Days have played a large part in keeping the community interest and numbers up, and true workshop integration would make that significantly easier for users to manage.

Quoting: foobrewI normally avoid Early Access games but this game...I have 1,028.6 hrs in it. It's basically the game that introduced me to "open world crafting" and I always seem to come back to it. I'm not even really into zombie games but this one somehow ticks all the boxes for me. The crafting system is excellent and much more balanced now than it used to be - long gone are the days of finding an end-game automatic weapon on day one in the trash. Even though I've memorized most of the POI's at this point, it still seems to maintain just enough tension to still be exciting clearing one, especially in the early game. The overall improvements to balance and progression over the last year or two have really improved the game and breathed new life into it. If you haven't picked it up in a while, I'd recommend giving it a shot again. And if you're new to it...I envy you!I agree, it's a good game and we've had a lot of fun in it over the years. However, I think it is in dire need of a content overhaul as once you get over that early food/water hump there's suddenly not a lot to actually do other than grind out getting schematic and skill books. The 7 day event is the only real threat and even that can be dealt with pretty easily once you work out the basics of the zombie pathing.
