Quoting: KithopThe lack of one does not suddenly make a particular software product apolitical (hint: there is no such thing when it comes to being part of a group of people where not only do you have access to technology, but the free time and skills training on top).I like this CoC over many others as if you read it and understand it, it is in fact apolitical which all CoC's should be IMO. As a CoC needs just be there so EVERYONE treats each other like a human being no matter their Race, Gender, sexual orientation or religion. I have been in a few communities their CoC's/rules lean one way or the other and let me tell ya that can be and is toxic as hell no matter which side its coming from. CoCs like this one should hold everyone equally and even if there are racist, sexist, or phobic people in said communities maybe they learn how to see people for humans no matter and learn to treat people like a decent human being should no matter if its online or IRL and if not they get banned. IMO this is how you show people that are racist, sexist or phobic they are wrong and should change, not by spitting the toxicity back at them.. that just makes them worst. There are a few CoC's for a couple projects I seen that leaves it a bit open ended and frankly is toxic AF.

Quoting: alexleducI'm hoping more software companies will realize that a 5% market share of over a billion desktop computers is not something they should ignore. Especially considering that first movers will get a chance to establish themselves in this new market. For example, if the Affinity suite would be ported, but the market leader, Adobe, waited until Linux had a 10-15% market share, Affinity would be the #1 professional level creative software on this platform. They could make a lot of money and, more importantly, develop brand loyalty.Funnily I use Affinity on my setup on a daily basis on Opensuse

Quoting: pbI had a long break from KDE after they took a bad (for me) direction with KDE4. But last year, on the new computer, I decided to go wayland and I switched to kde, since xfce didn't have a wayland version. All was fine in the beginning but after some update (probably) the computer started randomly freezing. Like, I browse the web and bam, everything is frozen, hard reset needed. Or I leave the comp on, go eat or whatever, come back and it's frozen. Or I put it to sleep and can't wake it up etc. I suspected faulty hardware (ran memory tests etc.) and various programs (turned them off on boot etc.) but after a while I started to direct my suspicion towards KDE. So eventually I gathered some courage and time, and I installed Hyprland. It was a few months ago and not a single freeze since then, heh. And I actually love my new DE, everything configured to my taste (because by me, hehe).Sounds like you Installed plasma 6 right after release.. it had some bugs that have since been fixed.. the freezing I pretty sure I experienced also and it was due to it constantly writing to a file for effects cache or something. since that was fixed I have not seen any new freezes. never install a .0 release and not expect any bugs
TL;DR If you're experiencing random system freezes, it might be KDE.

This affects you even if the NVIDIA card is NOT your primary card.. use a 1660 ti for cuda and nvenc and VMs but game on my RX 6600 XT and get these same hiccups.. guess best solution for me is to pull or bind my 1660 ti to vms til its fixed

Quoting: JarmerEveryone pretending like the game is already out and they know exactly how it plays and feels. You all have zero clue ffs. All you've seen is some youtube trailers, and how many times has a game come out that's nothing at all like those (both good and bad sides). Not hard to deduct from gameplay trailers. this game is NOTHING like the previous 3.. its a generic cookie cutter button smashing adventure game.. NO Thank You
Quoting: LungDragoMaybe I am just a hopeless centrist but I do believe the most prudent decision is to just wait and see with cautious optimism. It would be nice to be pleasantly surprised for a change. This is the best mindset.

Quoting: melkemindYou DID NOT watch the same gameplay then or you are just simping to simp.. one LOOK at the UI and actual gamplay reveals this game to be a generic button smashing adventure game even MORE so then DA:II was.. that is not Dragon Age and if you think it is you haven't played ANY of the previous 3Quoting: tohurQuit lying. The gameplay footage had everything DAI had. Say what you really mean and quit trying to act like it was the gameplay that bothered you.Quoting: TazzaNot to mention one look at the Gameplay trailer and its CLEAR this is only Dragon Age in name and not the Dragon Age most of us know and love.. this game is gona flop and flop hard with them trying to attract everyone BUT actual fansQuoting: Leahi84There's TONS of hype for this right now with everyone I know and the BioWare/dragon age communities.I honestly mean no disrespect but I've never understood the attitude of people claiming 'hype'.
How did Cities Skylines 2 work out at release? go back further to Amazons MMO (New world). Further still the game that was mean to be an improved ARK survival in a different setting (ATLAS). There are all manner of games in between but these are the main ones that come to mind.
I used to get 'hyped' when I was a child.. after age 12 not so much. After the age of 21 unless I know for certain a new Ferrari was coming in a few weeks time I don't get 'hyped'.

I believe it's going to do REALLY well. There's TONS of hype for this right now with everyone I know and the BioWare/dragon age communities.
