I'm mainly developing games in that setup but also play games with keyboard/mouse in that configuration as well (e.g. DotA2).
All games which work nicely with the Steam Controller, I usually play on my TV from the couch, either via SteamLink or direct HDMI (sorry no pic but would just be a simple big TV).
P.S. Note the notebook brand =)

Sounds like a better version of the tv show L.O.S.T re-interpreted as a co-op survival game. Count me in! =)
