Pixel heroes byte and magic, luftrausers and, of course, DOTA 2
All three great games and highly recommended.

One basic Criterium at choosing games that I am missing is genre: I don't buy strategy games very often, for example.

As others have said here, this MOBA genre has a lot of top quality representatives in linux, so it is not at all important that this particular game is not coming to us.
Alternatives that I know of:
* Dota 2
* Strife
* Heroes of Newerth

Honestly I think it is a common place to say that the dota community is the worst thing. I used to play wow in wine until I definetely quitted all not native linux games and I couldn't tell any difference in the communities. Just like anywhere else, there are nice and not so nice people.
And about the language problems... you just have to accept that there a lot of different languages in the world and nobody can speak all of them, so sooner or later you'll meet someone who can't understand. It is just the way it is, and it's actually a good thing.

Very nice that you post here too the events of this group. I've played with them a couple of times and they are really nice guys and I think the most active linux steam group. Specially good was playing natural selection with them, as I think one of the linux porters was in mumble so we could chat with him and give him direct feedback.

Hi!
For me the biggest problem is that I can't seem to be able to sort the sales page by clicking in the columns name like it used to work. I normaly allways check what it's about to expire and now I can't anymore.
I also can't put my desura link or distribution in the user cp page.
I am using chromium in ubuntu 12.04
