Gambling company? Ouch! Anybody who owned and used Gamemaker just got burned. Even the most likely scenario (dropping Linux support) happens, what might await the future of those who bought and used this tool? Now I'm glad I snubbed proprietary tools like this in the past as a teenager (maybe even a bit obnoxious about it). Those tools have either now died or those who survived become sellouts. As someone who scruitinized tools like this, I've always been approached by the said developer in question that claim they will "live on" and "don't worry". Then the mob of denizens who used such tools would fan boy (yes, some aspiring indies don't always get along) it and claim it will be alive until death because they have no clue how to adapt without it.

Sorry for the rant, had a lot of history with those tools (free ones) and some of the nutty community (mostly indies who never make it, like me) around them.

I just wish the open source solution, Godot, arrived 5+ years sooner. My interest in making indie games has waned a bit. Now I just like to draw or tinker.

Hah! Make that three. :) Very glad this got covered, it's a fun simple game for that insane cheap price. Initially I had an issue with some serious FPS drop issues, but the developer quickly smashed that bug. :)

It's not over the top long, but the dungeons you crawl oozed every bit of Zelda charm.

Are you sure Lively Ivy and Ivy Games LLC (Gravity Ghost) aren't two different companies? If they are the same developer, I might give it a look, but I haven't found confirmation of this. I found Gravity Ghost to be a wonderful game and experience.

I've been staring at this game on GOG for a little while, and I'll likely purchase as soon as I'm convinced there aren't any show stopper problems with it.

Since it's simply a website, and not a client (e.g. Steam), I would assume it uses tracker tools like any other site that display OS and web browser information you provide. Just buy it logged into a Linux desktop if you're worried.

I'm digging the dark / light art-style going on there. Hopefully that will just be icing on the cake with great game-play. I look forward to hearing about the Linux version.

Edit: To hell with it, I voted yes. If I was even a gamer for Windows, I would play it to check it out. Though, obviously, I won't buy it unless it's not supported for Linux.

Prismata I signed up for a beta key (hope it's fun as they claim). I played Hearthstone in its beta, so I'm looking for a good alternative card game. Sick of Blizzard's zero effort for Linux support.

I see no indication of Linux support (please confirm) for:

- Strafe
- Star Mazer
