Hah, when I was 10 or so, I remember playing the shareware version (amongst many others) on some compilation disc my father got me. Brings back memories amongst other Apogee titles. :)

It's also worth noting, that the publisher (3D Realms) that holds the lot of these dosbox titles on Steam (34) is probably going to release their entire catalog (finally) on Linux anytime now. Every one of them have activity on Steamdb (20 days old), including this one. Would be nice to just get them all in a single bundle as they are currently offered on Steam.

Happy day! Tomorrow is the holiday sale and this is marked as such so I went ahead and bought it. My wallet is ready for whatever surprises they throw at me next tomorrow. :D

Quoting: MrTennessee17Just wanting to be sure...If purchased npw, all will count towards Linux sales right?
I just did, doubt any real confirmation will exist unless it's from Valve. I have faith at least they are competent to see which platform I bought it on. I mean the whole franchise was announced for the platform, right? Looking at steamdb, seems to be a good indicator.

Definitely going to keep an eye on this. I have to admit, I wrote it off until I checked out the trailer / article. I welcome the Nintendo-y vibe this gives off.

I also want to suggest they change the banner. The trailer screenshot looks WAY more representative of the game and is what caught my eye.

I'm not going to dismiss something I don't understand full scope of. I think it's good that at least people are talking about doing something against the grain. Else we'll just stagnate.

What's the worst that would happen? It gets forked? If it progresses into something useful, maybe even Valve will use it down the line.

Lucius II, wreak havoc as the bad guy on SteamOS & Linux

Quoting: TheBossNice didn't know that, good find.
Yeah, sometimes I ctrl + f "Linux" or "SteamOS" on the recent Steam updates page. These messages on developer HUBs pop up more often than I realized. At least as of recently.

Also, steamdb is always juicy. Pretty sure I found this there as well.

The first one is possibly on the way [External Link]:

This is a first patch we've done in couple of years.
We had some issues with the engine after we switched, but we have now everything up and running again and we are hoping to do a patch soon where we have some basic controller support and maybe a Linux version also.
