Laughably stupid game. Not even offensive.
Quoting: SkullyHmm not available in Australia :(Are you really surprised? This is the country that thinks AO rated games is a privilege and treats their adults like they're sheep. With that level of censorship, the last thing I would be thinking about is playing video games. Get your rights back mate.

We're being beat by Mac atm. Quick! Someone throw a $100 in there. :P
Yeah, this totally threw me by surprise (Japan rarely gives us a nod). Though I'm starting to think this is connected to something bigger:

Metal Slug 2 is in that leak. Bet it's a hidden game in the HiB. Hopefully SNK will also release these Linux variations for Steam. You know, for our OS game count ego. 3D Realms, if you pay attention to steamdb, is obviously about to drop their entire DosBox collection (+25 games). The real question is, why are they stalling?

However, I wouldn't go as far to say GOG isn't worth investing in. There's always something a company's decision you'll disagree with, whether it will be Valve or GOG or whatever. You're there for the service, not their collective opinion.

Quoting: adolsonWow. That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. I am glad that I don't bother investing in GOG.Yeah, kind of weird how a DRM-client like Steam is open, yet gets criticized for not dictating curation, while GOG's DRM-Free sales are. I know they don't want to end up like Desura, but they could at least try the game themselves rather than sticking their nose up at it.

I actually was scouting around and found this game earlier (put on wishlist). Considering Legend of Grimrock 2 isn't going to arrive (developers show no enthusiasm) and it is claimed to be different / improved on, might be a nice successor.

What you are expressing is something that will only get resolved with legal action. Who's going to take up that case though, let alone without scaring off developers?
Anger isn't going to solve the situation. Working with the developer does.

Quoting: Storminator16(There is an theme I've seen on Steam forums and here that I would like to respond to.)I'm not telling you to bend over and take it (though I will say that if you bought an Early Access game at this point; that business model isn't even working out for the consumer on ALL platforms).
Let me get this right: Linux gamers should be thankful to even pay for Linux games? Is this what we've come to?
-Gamers pay "early access" for unfinished, lightly polished games?
-Gamers fund unfinished, lightly polished games through crowd sourcing.
-Gamers pay for bad ports w/ issues. Linux users (the 1%) just needs to be thankful.
I'm going to walk into my favourite pizza establishment right now and demand I pay full price for an medium sized pie. If he gives me only a slice, I should just be fine with that, too. Am I doing it right? I mean, he needs to make sure his kids have shoes on his feet and he can pay for his mistress and all.
Developers aren't homeless folks on the street corner looking for hand outs. These are video games makers looking for hand outs if you are willing to give it to them. You shouldn't be "thankful". You are saying "thanks" when you pay for polish. Pay for polish or we are going to have an Armageddon of crap-tastic games on Linux/SteamOS.

We come off as a cult, despite not really being one (no different than any hardcore gamer tbh). A lot of the frustration comes from a bottled up anger towards being ignored and/or ridiculed. Hopefully, someday this will change, and it is to some degree.
Probably the best role model this community needs right now is Ethan "flibitijibibo" Lee. We have to take these matters into our own hands (feedback and help is mission critical from our community, not just "buyer's remorse" ). Also have to realize entitlement isn't going to make progress. You don't see Ethan Lee freaking out because a developer declined an offer, he moves on to the next one.
Though the reality is also, some of us (like myself), can't program worth a crap, let alone understand terminal output (kudos to those who do!) for extensive bug reports. This is why I don't refund Linux supported games. You get what you put into, I guess the saying is.

Quoting: dnlbainesWe are a great community, but I do get somewhat upset when people make negative comments about things purely because of a lack of Linux support or a statement made against Linux. We should be a friendly and thankful community as otherwise there is even less of a reason for anyone to bring their games to Linux.+1

Ubuntu 15.10 has yet to receive any working beta branch version for WINE, despite it being out for a couple months. Hopefully this can be remedied soon. I may not use it very much these days, but it's nice to test with it and have the option.

I just want to point out, despite some of the blunders, they have always released the Linux version as promised. Also, a lot of people have been asking for Psychonauts 2 for a long long time. This is not me defending DF9 and the likes, but just an inquiry on the project.
Having said that, I'm a bit confused on how the investor thing works and how people will be able to monitor it as a legitimate thing (guess that's what the lawyer's of Fig are fighting for). I'm actually going to commend Double Fine on this push to Fig. People have been slamming Kickstarter as of late, for being an investor without benefits platform, and now those people can put their money where their mouth is.
The question is, will it work out as a viable option? Would be very interesting to find out. Seems more transparent than Kickstarter anyway.
