I'm in the country, stuck with DSL (0.6 MB/s), with no hope of getting anything better until either the government grows some balls or AT&T grows a soul---so fuck Google.

Gloomhaven, the dungeon-crawling adaptation of the board game should see Linux support at release

It looks like a dungeon-crawler for movement (in the Steam video, the linked YouTube video, not so much) that then shifts to a third-person/isometric view for combat? Is that what we're looking at?

Well, it lacks itch client support, yes. But it says locally installed games can be added, so if I could add /media/dataPartition/itchLibrary and /media/dataPartition/OtherGames, I'd be fine. I'll put it on my lappy and see how it tangos.
I guess I don't get all this "launcher for launchers" humour. It doesn't really launch the Steam client in order to launch Steam, does it? Personally, I love the thought of a single game launcher that can manage all my games---FOSS, itch.io, GoG, Steam, &c.--- in one place.

The very well rated ARPG [Runic Rampage](https://store.steampowered.com/app/615010/Runic_Rampage__Action_RPG/) is currently 75% off ($1.74 US) on Steam. I've got this and played this and it's a great time. Doubly so at this price!

"Seige" is listed as a verb in some real, respected dictionaries such as Merriam-Webster and one of its countless progeny, American Heritage [External Link] (wordnik and dictionary.com and their ilk are as unto butter knives at a gun fight---useful in their way, but lacking sufficient gravitas ... well, you see where I'm going with that)
My only other defense is to point out that I did say it "hurts me in my dictionary," and my dictionary is the venerable OED, which, as you may well imagine, doesn't say anything about siege as a verb. [External Link]

Quoting: khalismurYou are absolutely correct. It is in some dictionaries as a verb. I wasn't being entirely accurate for the sake of brevity. It just seemed too onerous to say that the word "siege" isn't a synonym for "attack," and then having to further explain the distinction. I was just trying to be a bit funny.Quoting: NanobangGaaaahhhhhhrrrrrgggghhh! "Siege" isn't a verb! Make them stop! Well, some dictionaries list the use and existence of the verb "to siege".

Quest Hunter, a story-driven action-RPG recently left Early Access - some thoughts

I think anything that looks like this can have a pass on anything like a real story. Heck, I don't really want a real story from my ARPGs anyway, just an excuse to explore and kill and loot and ... well, that's it really.
As far as I can tell, most ARPGs, and perhaps RPGs, too, are a variation on
If a game can give me this and entertain me---not annoy me---then I call it a success. If it can do all this and make me laugh at the same time, it's a fuckin' work of genius. Sounds like Quest Hunter might be a work of genius. I bought it within 48 hours of its coming out of Early Access. :)

- You are special
- You must do the thing and or get the McGuffin
- Whilst undertaking #2, you will do other things, kill other things, and get other things.
- Cue music, roll credits.

At last! A Linux exclusive!!
I was holding off on buying Basingstoke (on Steam) because the price was just a little too high for me ... but the Puppylords will be getting something from me for sure!
