That's all I needed to hear ...
There, I just bought it.
This has been on my wishlist since it first came to Steam. It's successfully navigated the swamp of Early Access, not drown nor been sucked down into quicksand, so the only other thing I was waiting on was a deep discount since it was a Windohs only title.
But hey-presto! It's playable on Linux (thank you Steam Play and Wine and the Blind Dancing Gaming Gods of Caprice) so the little man in my head flipped the switch labeled "OH SHIT! BUY IT NOW!" and I did.
They ought to give you a percentage of my sale, Liam. From your lips to their wallets.

I've added reports to existing reports. I've also purchased a few (very cheap, and on sale) Windows games specifically to make reports because they didn't yet have any. Something I would encourage others to consider doing, too.
I think one of the secrets to Protondb's success is the ease of creating a report. No registration, no membership, just report. Though I do think I'll register so that I can do as Zlopez said, and regularly update my entries with each new iteration of Steam Play.

If Overloard had a brother who wouldn't stop playing with dead things when they were boys, this is him: Overlord's necromantic brother whom I shall call "Merv."
(Not to be confused with the promising-looking 2014 Early Access title, Undead Overlord [External Link], which was abandoned when the dev moved to Uruguay to open a Peruvian llama stacking franchise.)
It's going on my wishlist. Oh! Spooky. It's already there!

Valve is getting back to focusing on gaming, with non-gaming videos being retired

I've always been so disgusted by how poorly videos perform on Steam's Store pages that I wasn't about to pay to watch anything from them, which is a pity because there are a few indie joints that have always intrigued me. (It only occurs to me now that I could test their technology with a free movie like Kung Fury.)
But yeah, dump that shiz. Dump music too, as far as I'm concerned. It's one thing for a locked down system like a console to offer ways to play vids and tunes, but we're on PCs and it's trivial to fire up a playlist in VLC and play games at the same time. Take whatever man-hours and money being spent on videos and music and put them into something useful to gamers---like Proton! :P

Agitate, a small indie game that's like a reverse city-builder with you playing as nature has Linux support

Ok, that's out of my system.
Ah well, I wouldn't mind being a plant, (but please note: if I'm ever a vegetable I've told friends and family, so I'll tell y'all: take me off life support.)

Sign me up! I'd want to play a game where the universe (me) conspires to wreck civilization through everything from power-plant or crop failures contributing civil-unrest, extended rains backing up sewers, whatever. Oh, and sinkholes! The earth just opening up a mouth and sucking down a building or three? Nom, nom, nom! Hee hee!

With a clear inspiration from Portal, the first-person puzzler HA/CK is out now

Like Portal, this particular game is clearly an FPP, yet so is The Talos Principle which doesn't feel portal-like at all.
Liam, and GoL comrades, I propose we acknowledge a new genre whose name is "portal-like," (in the pattern of "rogue-like.") It would include games such as HA/CK, QUBE, etc., but also non-FPPs such as Bridge Constructor Portal, which isn't an FPP at all, but is obviously a "portal-like."
So, voilà this is an FPP portal-like! :)

With the recent release of Alpha 17, I've been revisiting 7 Days to Die, solo. It has come so far since *so* far since I first purchased it four or five years ago; though, it still has its share of head-scratchers (like, how can I put all this dirt I just dug up to make that hole, back into that hole?) If you have your own copy of 7d2d sitting in your Steam library, collecting dust, you might want to fire it up and see how far it's come.
I've also been playing a little zombie-horde shooter I picked up on sale for pennies called [Blood Waves.](https://store.steampowered.com/app/654470/Blood_Waves/) I a bought it primarily to test it for Our Most Beloved ProtonDB, [External Link] because it didn't have an entry yet. Everything worked perfectly except the controller, which went undetected, until I fired-up Kozec's SC-Controller---ta-daaaa!
And, as is our custom, my bro-in-law and I have been playing Borderlands TPS once or twice a week.

Intel begins talking up their open source efforts for their upcoming dedicated GPU

I upgraded my GPU from a GTX 960 to a 1070 this past Xmas, and I, too, gave AMD GPUs a looking over---a very *serious* looking over. Between the unfamiliar terminology and the awareness that I see more graphics issues crop up for AMD than Nvidia cards in the /r/linux_gaming subreddit, I chickened out and went with tried and true Nvidia.
It's cool to hear that Intel's thinking about getting into the game and *very* cool that their doing it their sights set on open source! Maybe Lady Nvidia will feel some pressure towards open source a wee bit more ...
