'Pavilion', the very stylish fourth-person puzzling adventure released with day-1 Linux support

Neither will I be buying it. I can't make heads or tails out of what's going on in the video nor derive useful info from the write-up. It's all a slow-motion mystery, albeit a visually intriguing one, which is only further confounded by the gimmicky-sounding "fourth person" label.

:)
Yes of course.
Thanks Liam! I could remember when GoG did this giveaway last time, but couldn't remember exactly why I hadn't purchased anything. Then I had this idea that somehow it was because the GoG copy would replace the original Steam copy, or something like that. Glad I was mistaken (possibly delusional) about this. Gonna have to take another look at GoG today. :)

The third beta of FREE FPS ‘Ravenfield’ is out, the game keeps getting better
27 Sep 2016 at 12:40 pm UTC

I haven't tried this yet, but I loved the Battlefield series on my Xbox 360, and BF3 remains one of my favorite PVP games.

As I understand that setting up a server for a game is no small cost, so I can understand the lack of multiplayer for Ravenfield at this stage of development. But I have hope that eventually the game sees enough success to add more maps and Battlefield-like team multiplayer options, all the while maintaining the delightful toy-like look the game has now.

Promising top-down shooter ‘Redie’, inspired by Hotline Miami, needs support on Kickstarter, demo available
27 Sep 2016 at 12:26 pm UTC

Hm, I had given this one a pass when I first ran across it. "Pfft," thought I."Another Hotline clone." But I didn't notice the 3D graphics effect. In fact I had passed over it so quickly I hadn't caught that the scenery was destructible. Or that there was a demo, which I shall download and try out.

Thanks for the second look, Sangre!

Interview with Timothee Besset, formerly of id Software, who helped port Rocket League to Linux

I hadn't realized just how much anxiety I had about Valve's level of commitment to SteamOS/Linux until I felt it lift from my shoulders whilst reading this interview!

Although I've remained optimistic about Valve's Linux initiative, lately thoughts of HL3 have begun whispering doubts from the darker corners of my mind. Liam, your interview could not have been better timed for me. It banishes those doubts and reaffirms what I'd been hoping: SteamOS is being developed like Steam itself ... slow and steady, with an eye on the (ahem) big picture. :)

Well done.

Stellar Overload (previously named Planets³) has released an experimental UE4 Linux build, looks very cool

Well, unlike everyone else who's posted prior to me, I've no complaints or critical comments about this game whatsoever. What's wrong with me? Lol.

The game looks unique and visually rich. I'll definitely be watching it as it moves forward, and purchase it upon its Linux release!

This was entirely off my radar, so (once again) thanks Liam for this update! :D

I'll give it a closer look when I sign into Steam later today, but a cursory look tells me I own everything I want from them, alas. I'm also in the WUT? YNOT Homeworld? Club, and I'm starting an I'll-buy-every-single-Star-Wars-game-available-on-Linux-day-one Club as well.

Hopefully it will work well with the steam controller as I do not own a joystick at the moment.
