Steam will now show you who is playing on Steam Deck

I just hope people in our community keep supporting the Steam Deck financially. It's definitely nice to have choices like ChimeraOS, but realistically, if everyone starts buying ROG Ally, Ayaneo, etc. and just installing Bazzite or ChimeraOS on them, they will go down as Windows sales. The last thing we want is for the Steam Deck to fail because those other distros and all of the success of Linux gaming depends on Proton, and Proton development would slow to a crawl without Valve's funding.

Quoting: TarosYay, no more special Proton build like for Inquisition.
That's funny because I'm playing it right now (never finished it back when it came out), and I was surprised I had to use that special DAI proton just to get my controller working. I'm excited for this.
I'm the same way with not finishing Inquisition back then but where can I get this DAI proton version? I'm thinking of revisiting this game soon and would like to have controller support when playing on my Steam Deck.
This is it:

I wonder how wobbly it is with such a skinny base. It kind of seems like it depends on the USB cable for balance.

That was pretty awesome of Rich (Fan The Deck) to do that. I love to see people in our community really giving back in meaningful ways.

This is good news. I guess it's time for me to dust off the old hoe. I mean my gardening tool, of course.

Will anything dethrone the Steam Deck? Probably not

It seems like every day, I see a new Steam user deciding to try desktop Linux for the first time. It has really done wonders for Linux as a whole.I would never buy another handheld no matter how many "AI" rebrandings they do.

Considering I still haven't finished it, I agree.

ElectricMaple joins WiVRn and ALVR in giving options to stream VR to a headset

Which one is the easiest to use? I currently use ALVR with the meta quest 3, but man, if I had a dollar for every hoop I had to jump through to get it working, I could afford to start my own VR headset brand. It also feels like if I make any adjustments to the settings, I'm in danger of breaking it again.

Istanbul was Constantinople
Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople
Been a long time gone, Constantinople
Now it's Turkish delight on a moonlit night

Ahem...I'll let myself out.
