Quoting: rustybroomhandleActually, Postal isn't satirical, or if it is, then it's completely lost on me. In fact, Postal doesn't have much story to it at all. There are some vague reference to the Earth hungering for death or some such, but basically it's just a guy running around murdering everyone with basically no storyline to speak of. It's actually almost the exact same game as Hatred. Postal 2, on the other hand, is silly and satirical.Quoting: DamonLinuxPLHatred isnt bad game. Look at users review on Steam. So If people did not protest against Postal, why they have to do with Hatred?Haven't actually seen anyone protesting. The general complaint is that unlike Postal, which has a definite satirical edge to it, this is just bland and pointless.

The controversy around this game was ridiculous. This game doesn't do anything that other games haven't done in the past and that current games also do. In a lot of ways, it's a lot more honest about what it is that the vast majority of the billion other murder simulators out on the market.
That said, the game is pretty dull. I do, however, have interest in what these devs make next, as the physics in the game are very impressive and it's not bad for a first effort. Hopefully they do something more creative next time.

Awesome game except for the horrible QTE final boss fight. I look forward to playing it again once The Following comes out.

As with all episodic games, I won't even consider getting this until every episode is out. I'm kind of conflicted on whether I'll get it at all. I really liked The Longest Journey, but I found Dreamfall to be rather disappointing. The feedback I've gotten about this game from those that have played it has been mixed.

The trailer is pretty good, but I feel like the joke has gotten old by now.

Given the Broken Age and Spacebase DF-9 fiascoes (it wasn't just that Broken Age was super late and overbudget, it was also bitterly disappointing), I wouldn't give Tim Schafer any money up front even if he put a gun to my head. I'll be interested in the final product, provided it turns out well, however, since I loved Psychonauts.

I'm finding the combat to actually be quite good. It's legitimately takes skill and timing and there are different tactics you can use. You can cheese it, but you can cheese almost any game if you really want to. The dialogue, on the other hand, is of fanfic quality, the narrative style is on the level of a 5th grade book report, and the voice acting is mediocre.
Edit: Correction. I've had the game momentarily slow down on some attacks. It never did it when I was using a sword, but it does now that I'm using an axe. Again, the slow down isn't there to make things easier for the player, like how so many games these days slow down to give players time to counter/dodge, essentially turning combat into a QTE (heaven forbid players dodge and parry in real time), the slow mo in this game, from what I've seen so far in almost 3 hours, is strictly for cinematic purposes, it doesn't assist you in combat whatsoever.

Quoting: GuestSlow motions? Oh gods, no thank you.It might not be what you think. The combat is full speed, including parrying, except when you time a parry perfectly. You can just hold down the parry button and parry regularly, but if you only press it at the last moment before an attack hits you, you will parry and counterattack and the game will briefly slow mo to show off the parry and counterattack. The game doesn't slow down to help you parry or dodge, you need to do it at full speed.
