SpecOps: The Line For Linux Is Official, Being Ported By Virtual Programming
27 Apr 2015 at 11:24 pm UTC

Quoting: LinasOh, man... Both Witcher 2 and Bioshock Infinite are unplayable for me because of the input lag. It looks good and is smooth, but it feels like some sort of replay. I move a mouse, and it smoothly and accurately repeats my movements on screen, but after I have already finished the movement. I am not playing competitively, and do not care about milliseconds, but this here is ridiculous.

And why do they keep doing action games where this stuff is so important? Just makes me sad that publishers keep falling for this kind of stunt. Probably because it is cheaper than a native port.

My specs, just for fun: Intel Core i7-4702HQ CPU, NVIDIA Quadro K1100M GPU, 16GB RAM.

Me sad. :(
Weird that you get input lag, I have no such problems. A low latency kernel might help with input latency issues, though sometimes at the cost of a few FPS.

Kart Racer 'Coffin Dodgers' Adds Linux Support To Early Access

Interesting. I do like Mario Kart (and clones). On the other hand, it's Early Access, so no go until it's fully released for me. Also, I have a Wii U, so I can just play MK 8 (I can't wait for 200cc mode). Still, this looks fun.

Age of Wonders III Fully Released On Linux, Some Early Thoughts & A Port Report

Sweet. I'm not sure if I'm going to get it right away, but I will get it eventually. I'm deep in a Pillars of Eternity playthrough and have several things on the backlog, so this can wait for the next time it's on sale. it will likely perform better then too.

It's a pretty sad state of affairs when the term "release" is being used for Early Access.

SteamWorld Heist Has A First Gameplay Trailer

Heck yes! I liked Steamworld Dig a lot. I also like turn-based squad-based tactical games quite a bit (though I'm not used to seeing them in 2D sidescroller perspective... outside of Worms, I guess).
