Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition Delayed For Linux, Again
21 Oct 2015 at 4:29 pm UTC Likes: 6

Like always when there is a topic regarding Divinity: Original Sin - I hope all of us will follow me and won't support Larian Studios because they don't deserve our support. The only scenario to buy this game is super cheap sale with -90% price when the game is released on linux (or maybe I should use "if" instead of "when").
Otherwise your euros can be spend better. If you don't have Pillars of Eternity - buy it. If you don't have Torchlight 2 - buy it. If you don't have Sword Coast Legends - buy it. If you don't have Witcher 2 - buy it. But for the God's sake don't support developer who that takes from people money and after year and a half of Windows release laughs on those who believed in Linux port and does not provide them a product.

Buying Linux Games From Cheap Bundle Websites & Stores, Some Important Information

I guess there is yet another problem, with the Valve policy of sales.
Very often, when it is official that some titles are ported to Linux, Valve decides to do a sale for those games. So there is no port yet, but people would like to buy games at reasonable price and donate this way porter (but not with the full price, becuase it may be to much for someone).
Right now exactly this situation has place with Saints Row - we know that all the games from the series will be ported and there is a Sale on the Steam. One may think that it would be good idea to buy all the games from the series with reasonable price - 16,99 euro. But the problem is this money won't go to Virtual Programming. Even if all the buyers will play this game when it's ported. And from my point of view there should be a change in Valve's policy of dividing money after port was confirmed.

@Xzyl you're missing main idea of this site I guess. Liam is not a tester, who tries all the possible hardware configuration and gives final verdict of the linux version of the game. He is an enthusiast who does a lot for us, the community. He always says that he wrotes about his personal opinion about the game and always advises that he would like to hear a feedback from us. If you are dissapointed about the game quality - just request a refund. Do not be mad at Liam who does a great job for all of us.

Several Sites Publish Their Thoughts On Steam Machines & The Steam Controller

The problem I have with syber steam machines is that... They are ugly :( Alienware steam machine is nice, similar to my ps4. Hope it is silent, because that's the main ps4 problem - it is super loud. Does anyone know how does it look like in alienware and syber steam machines? How loud are them in comparison to ps4 while playing resource demanding games?

If we are on Alienware Steam machine - did anyone see benchmark of Shadow of Mordor or Company of Heroes on cheapest / most expensive version? I wonder what fps results do we talk about on Steam machines with this titles.

Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition Looks Set For Release This Month
9 Oct 2015 at 8:02 pm UTC

I remember last topic regarding Divinity: Original Sin here, when I was called an idiot when I said that I hope this studio will fail. What I really meant, was that I really hate when someone promises that will deliver something, makes crowd funding, and then do not delivers it. From my point of view it is cheating and it is very uncool to take people money, create a product and for minority give money back (without any additional interest). From my point of view if someone does it intentionally, then it is similar crime as tax fraud. Other companies that makes games have to take credit if they want to fund the game.

So if Lariam do not deliver Linux version and will not even comment it, from my perspective they will be treated like cheaters.
But I hope I am totally wrong and they will deliver very good Linux game and all of us will be happy. But I am pretty sure that they will cheat us once again. Once again I hope I'm wrong.

I've just decided to find a humble bundle with this titles and add them to my library. Let's see test them when they are out :)

GOL Asks: What Game Are You Looking Forward To Playing?
19 Sep 2015 at 6:01 am UTC

From the games that were released I wait for Don't Starve: Together to finally correctly support my Dualshock 4. Few games in my library wait for the newer hardware - Shadow of Mordor, Company of Heroes 2, Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. I guess I will also buy Dying Light when I have newer PC, but unfortunately it won't happen soon :(.

From games that are not released I wait for Witcher 3 and Batman AK (still, but I know that PC version is not... good :) ).
And because we have multiple 2K games available, I wish NBA2K16 will be released to Linux. It would be fun :).

Anyway, right now I have few games in my library that I started to play and I want to finish - XCOM: EU, Victor Vran and DIRT 3 Complete Edition (through Wine).

XCOM: Enemy Unknown Free Weekend & XCOM 2 Available For Pre-Order For Day-1 Release

Never had an opportunity to play XCOM: EU until today. I've installed it and after 20 minutes in game I've decided that this is a moment to buy it - looks very interesting and works ok on my machine which is not super powerful.
Btw. Valve did a very clever move when they decided to give players "free weekends" with games. I'm sure it generates huge income - better or similar to demo versions I guess.
