This reminds me, if you try to go to a reddit for "gamingonlinux" it is apparently banned. Haha

Looks like upcoming brawler MultiVersus works great on Steam Deck & Linux desktop

Word for word, badly translated.

Just wanted you to know!
Thanks for letting me know. Sadly these spambot websites appear all the time. We take one down, another two appear.

Spider-Man Remastered is awesome on Steam Deck

Quoting: Mountain ManPerformance is not perfect as I do notice occasional framerate dips as Spider-Man swings through the city, but it doesn't affect gameplay. I'm playing on the medium graphics preset which look pretty good to me.

I noticed frame drops too, but once you unlock and buy some web swing skills, with XP points the game's frames go up and up, scarily like PS4. I have just completed it on easy mode, going to go through it on Normal, then Hard, then ultimate. Just cannot put this game down. Miles Morales should be out by the time I fully complete this game with all difficulty levels completed, side missions too. I'm just so happy to be away altogether from Windows. I cried when I first booted this game up, at the sheer beauty of this game running on my free and open source machine. I still keep pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming, that we all can play Windows games in Linux, with hardly any tinkering. When Valve announced about Proton back in 2018, did not think it was going to go anywhere and also thought it was not going to work, but now look where we are? Four years on and shocked at how we get first day releases working. The Steam Deck what a brilliant piece of tech. I use the Steam Deck as a tool, even though I don't own one, if it runs on Steam Deck, it'll run on Desktop.
I think I beat the game on Medium on the PS4, but never did finish the DLC stuff. I should play through it all on my Deck. I've started Miles Morales on the PS5, that game is a blast.

A properly done Spider-man game is a gem. Unlike this one;

Seems I'll be replaying Half-Life 2 again soon but this time in VR

Really, sarcasm and irony is unusable on the internet. There's just too many who'd seriously mean what's said as a joke - regardless of what's being said :D
I thought it was funny. There were 3 games valve announced for VR, so far only one was released. Waiting for Black Mesa VR, so then people can ask for a pancake version :P

Shall I buy Valve Index VR Kit or wait for something newer from Valve?

Performance depends on your GPU and drivers a lot. Not sure async reprojection is supported everywhere.

I was able to play some on my R9 Fury, it was mostly smooth, if a bit laggy at times, and log load times. Didn't play anything serious though.
I cheated and threw a RTX 3080 at it, and no async reprojection needed. Though, I think nvidia's drivers support it now.

Infinity Engine reimplementation GemRB continues improving Icewind Dale 2

From my understanding of it, Icewind Dale 2's source code was lost, so we'll never see an Enhanced Edition of that one. So GemRB would be the only modern way to play it. Granted, I think GemRB also has a port for the Amiga. :)

Quoting: nerdknightIt's good to know that the project is still alive. I used to help porting GemRB to the nokia n900 back in the good old days of pocket linux phones.

I am saddened by the loss of my favorite platform for phones ever, Maemo... still legitimately the only time I've felt like I have had a device that belonged to me that was a mini computer in your pocket... I still have mine, but since 3G has now officially gone away, it's little more than a wifi device :(

SteamOS 3 is the first time they've been able to count to 3.
Which has not been released for download yet.
...
I'm starting to worry.
Pretty sure I have already pointed out that it won't be a standalone ISO until SteamOS4 😜
