The only one Warhammer game I want on Linux is Warhammer 40.000 Space Marine...
PS: I tried Life is Strange in a 1366x768p monitor and the antialiasing SUCKS...
Quoting: segulehThankfully i’m not fan of Total War nor WH series, cause i don’t believe Feral make this port good. Even as NVIDIA card user, I can accept (barely) 20% - 30% performance drop but not 50% as it is with Tomb Raider. And I prefer 5 good ports than 20 poor. No offence Feral, but thanx, not this time ;)I agree 100%

I got the Redux version on GOG for 1,59 USD, because I have Shadow Warrior 2013... And I have the original DRMFREE thanks to Desura..
For what I saw in comparative gameplays, the original version looks better and it runs on several linux distros via wine/crossover...
Now, is this statement coming from the people at Flying Wild Hog or from the people of Gambitious Digital Entertainment?

Quoting: 7IJ7oTCPA "Trusted Computing Platform Alliance" (first known name)Is this related with the Trusted Execution Technology of most intel CPUs?
The Trusted Computing Group is a group formed by AMD, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel and Microsoft to implement Trusted Computing concepts across personal computers.
... (Microsoft the only OS developer founding member of this alliance, ok IBM had developed OS2, so far I know but OS2 is good as dead)

Imagine to pronounce GNU Slash Linux several times in the same paragraph
Just "Linux" sounds perfect.
About the topic, I wish and hope that Mocosoft will break Steam someday..

Quoting: tmtvlPeople will stop using the term "PC" to mean "Windows", as soon as people stop using the term "Linux" to mean "GNU/Linux".Well.. From a commercial point of view, "GNU/Linux" is longish...
I still say Linux, so it might take a while.

Take note, Eddie.
One more thing:
Is this port english only or multilanguage?

Quoting: VPVP has two revenue streams when it ports games. If it is directly for the original publishers, the revenue is fixed and the publisher makes the decision where it is sold. However, some games are only available if VP covers all costs to bring the game to market, and unfortunately that can mean zero revenue for the version we make if it is sold on Steam. Steam do not split sku's and obviously we cannot release games for free.THAT is my kind of Linux port; DRMFREE and totally backed by the porter.
Take note, Eddie.

Thanks for the answers, Eddie..
Anyway, in the Steam version of Mark of the ninja, there are all of those things, and in the GOG version, there aren't...
And We are happy with the GOG version..
DRM is bad, specially on the Linux plattform.. DRM IS against the Linux philosophy.
If a have two Steam accounts (One from my windows era and a new one for Linux games), is because the publishers force me to use Steam if I want to buy their games... And I like to support the gaming on Linux..
I would like to know the publishing details...
I don't know if Square Enix hired Feral for to make a port.. Or if Feral acquired the publishing rights for Mac and Linux plattforms... If is the first one, I can understand the Steam DRM because Square Enix is a DRM lover... But, if is the second one.. well I don't know... And I want to know..
Anyway, thanks for the porting effort :)
Quoting: edddeduckferalFriends SupportWHO cares about those things in a single player game?
Leaderboards
Achievements
Cloud Sync
DLC purchase systems
For example during the game your key progression and decisions are logged and at the end of a chapter see how your decisions match up with all the other players or just against your friends.

Quoting: edddeduckferalI hope this explains just a few of the things people often don't think about when they talk about releasing a game outside of Steam, it's likely it's not so much about DRM but all of the other benefits of using Steam that are also in play. There is no benefit at all in using Steam, because Steam is not only an Store, is also a DRM...
