Feral no longer porting A Total War Saga: TROY to Linux, citing less demand since Proton

This doesn't surprise me at all...
Their IndirectX layer used to be precious, now is worthless thanks to DXVK and VKD3D.

But THEY ARE WRONG; THERE IS demand for NATIVE LINUX ports of BIG GAMES.
The problem is their bad habit of porting games years later after the official release...

If you gonna port to Linux a big game that wasn't released for Windows yet, release it day 1 and no few months later.

Example: When Death Stranding was announced as a timed PS4 exclusive, right away they should have acquired the publishing rights for Linux and coordinate efforts with the Windows publisher, 505 Games... But no...

I'm on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and I just got an Nvidia driver update, but it is not the 470.54.02 version, it is the 460.91.03 version...

What is going on with Ubuntu and Nvidia?
There are several Nvidia drivers in the Ubuntu repositories.

Use

ubuntu-drivers list

to see which proprietary drivers are available for you hardware.
Or go to Additional drivers in Updates & Software.

Just switch to 470 if you want it, and if you have problems you easily can go back to 460

465 was transitioned to 470, so if you had 465 installed then you would have got 470 now, but since you where on 460 which is still supported you got the latest 460 version.
Thank you... Updating..

Quoting: GBeeI'm going to repeat my speculation that they will start releasing some desktop processors without a GPU so that they can compete on core count with AMD without increasing the package size. Their discrete GPUs will then be bundled with those CPUs to system integrators.
They did. Since the generation 9, processors of the "F" line comes without iGPU...
