Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoI wonder why there are more improvements in PROTON GE than in the official PROTON, which wasn't updated in about a month...
That's quite simple. Because some of these improvements make some games work, and a few games work better, but break other games. Official Proton can't have this. It has to have the least number of failed games possible and can't tolerate regressions. It has to adopt a conservative approach to be useful.
I know, but... a month without improvements or a new release candidate for public testings?

I agree with ageres.
As I wrote in another topic, in those days (the 80's and 90's) the Devs did the best They could with the best technology They Had.

Apart from very good tributes like You have to win the game [External Link], and Super Win The Game [External Link], where you even have a CRT screen emulated, I find pointless to make thousands of fake "pixel art" games for to be used with modern hardware in the name of some supposed "originality".

Well.. At the end of the day, the gamer (hardcore or casual) speaks with the wallet.

I think the key here is the increase in the P0rn consumption...
It very well known that p0rn sites are infected with viruses for Windows, so it is more safe to watch p0rn using a Linux PC... Consumers are finally understanding it..
Plus, you can use a Linux Live distro without leaving a trace in the computer.
