Steam Play versus Linux Version, a little performance comparison and more thoughts

I tried Life is Strange and there isn't much difference with the Feral port because is a DX9 game...
Maybe VK9 project can improve the performance.

Whitelisted games?

Quoting: ageresI still don't understand how it's more convenient than managing only one account. I have many games on Steam and use categories to divide my game library into groups by genre.
Is a matter of personal taste about order...
And it helps for to have more Steam "users" gaming on Linux... One real person, but four Linux users for the stats.

Quoting: ageresBTW, Life is Strange is not an indie game, so you probably must remove it from your "indie" account and re-buy again for another one.
Life is Strange IS an indie game. [External Link]....
For budget reasons, Indie games barely have english voices and subtitles in few languages... Because subtitles are cheap to do.
I remember Life is Strange adding cheapest spanish subtitles ONE YEAR after the release of the episode 1, confirming the INDIE nature of the game...

I put LIS in the same account of Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice...

With big games is different: AAA games have voice-over in several languages, because there is a big budget that allow to do that...
I still can not explain why the Witcher 3 has Brazilian voice-over, but not Spanish.
Aparently, the CEO of CDprojekt Red ignore that 20 countries speak spanish. [External Link]

Quoting: ageresAnd what if a game gets Spanish voice-over after you have bought it?
That NEVER happen...

Anyway... This is getting off topic.
The topic is "what are you playing this weekend" and my answer is "mostly protonic testings".

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoOrder... Beautiful gaming order.... Each game in the right place.
Weren't categories added to Steam for organizing games? Besides, you'll have to memorize where's that one game you want to play. Also, if you have friends on Steam, they have to add all your accounts. If you are offline, they wouldn't know where to send a message. I'm not even saying about planning co-op gaming.
Categories are useful when you have a few games, but when you have hundreds, like in my original Steam account [External Link], is impossible to find a game.. I don't even remember what games I have there.

With the new order method I adopted, is super easy to find a game:

I know that if I want to play a big game with spanish voice overs (Tomb Raider 2013, for example), it will be available only here [External Link].

If I want to play a big game without Spanish voice overs but with spanish subtitles (The Witcher 3, for example), it will be present only here [External Link].

And if I want to play an indie game (Life is Strange, for example), it will be only here [External Link].

All the games will be counted as linux purchases, even if they are windows games.

About online games... I am a lone wolf.

Is almost 50% more of the Feral port performance... They should update their port to vulkan.

Some information on why Wine is not going to be using DXVK

People!
Maybe WINe is not going to be using DXVK, but CROSSOVER 18 indeed allow you to install and use DXVK v0.94 with a single click, so there isn't a real problem between Codeweavers and Rebohle.

Quoting: YoRHa-2BThe Steam version of Crysis 1 has been broken for me even on Windows for a while, not sure what it is they are shipping. Runs fine with 64-bit executables.
yes. The Crysis version distributed on Steam is an obsolete one (32bit), infected by SECUROM and other bloatware like gamespy...
The GOG version of Crysis is the updated one.

Damn!
I just tried Spec Ops: The Line and it doesn't work.

And I was unable to make steam version of Crysis work on Dx10 mode... It even crash on DX9 mode.
It doesn't matter.
