Quoting: Luke_NukemWell... I've been playing No Man's Sky v2.0 through Proton on the beta drivers. Nice, smooth, fast.sorry to be a pain and thanks for your detailed descriptions so far.
Laptop is an MSI GS65-Stealth RTX-2060. Also played a few games through Proton D9VK without issue too... I'm blown away...
Power use with power-management set up drops down to 7-10w for browsing etc. 7w just idling. 4-5w with screen off. Guesstimate 6-10 hours battery time depending on what I'm doing.
To get proper power-management I needed to dosudo tee /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:01:00.0/power/control <<<auto

after a long and arduous download Battletech v1.3 is downloaded but flashpoint not there yet, although it shows that I do own flashpoint on paradoxplaza - but think this is a paradox launcher issue

Quoting: JDo hope the paradox update their repo's some time soon.....it now appears in the list, but refused to download the program - manually logging in and out of the paradox launcher fixed this for me, it is now downloading the files -- fingers crossed it will work!
if you try install via paradox launcher then....

However does not yet work on the paradox launcher (for those that care)

BATTLETECH gets an opt-in Linux beta on Steam

what will probably happen is that GNU/Linux gets released but the expansion does not work for Linux.....

Quoting: Guestso very very true.... I still dont get it - I played the Beta in Jan and there were no problems....Quoting: Jthey have just announced Linux release with Flashpoint expansion end November....The cynic in me notes that they said they "expect" the (GNU/Linux) version to release then. Which sounds to me very non-committal, so I wouldn't trust them to deliver it then really.
At least is coincides with a major expansion, which should help multiplayer....
