Good to hear as the Windows version uses DX11 :)

The Wine Development Release 1.9.13 Is Now Available

Well.

Unreal Engine 4 games are still not working but at least one feature that needed implementing has been implemented in Wine : https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40792 [External Link] only to show that they need another thing to be implemented :D

Lichdom: Battlemage still gives me a green screen on start.

Hard Reset Redux still gives the "Direct X 10 device not found!" error.

Quoting: AnxiousInfusionGood news only the whole point of bundling WINE with the game should be so that the buyer doesn't even have to think about it. I installed and uninstalled PlayOnLinux and it trashed up my system with leftover WINE folders and menu entries. Any reason they couldn't handle Two Worlds like they did Flat Out?
It's how we received the game from TopWare so it's really not up to us at this point.

Ashes of the Singularity still plans Vulkan and Linux & SteamOS support

Interestingly enough the game has a DX12 executable. It will most certainly make for a good time breaking Wine and seeing what kind of horrible nasty things DX12 will want out of Wine :D

Yes, I am fully cognizant of the fact that DX12 is nowhere near supported via Wine but it's interesting nonetheless...

VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action released for Linux, some thoughts

Quoting: ShmerlDid it feel similar to Papers, Please for you? At least externally it appears so (I didn't buy this game yet. I too already bought a bunch of stuff on GOG sale).
It did feel a bit like Papers, Please to me but without all the communist overtones :P

Fun fact: if you don't buy the item the main character is thinking about, you will not be able to recall drink recipes :D

Also, the story changes depending on the drinks you serve to people but how, I have no clue...

Quoting: JudasIscariotIf the game had a standalone version of SDL2, we would've included it but since it doesn't we have what we have on the game card. Sorry but it's miles better than us having something mucking around on your system, no? :)
I don’t understand what you mean.
Apologies if my statement was confusing in some way, it comes from reading quite a few posts with "GOG should have something like a Steam runtime where it just installs things for you!".

But basically, I was referring to the Steam runtime: would you want us to have something like this or would prefer to know ahead of time what exact dependencies you need to install before playing a game?

Quoting: GuestNot providing SDL with the game is a terrible idea, as SDL’s behaviour can change from version to version.

Buy games from G2A? You should just stop already, tinyBuild lost out on approx $450K of sales

Quoting: DamonLinuxPLIm never buying on G2A... but Im buying on Steam, GOG or Huble only cheap games or in sale. Other game in full price more than 20 euro? I prefer buying in my local country stores, box or digital version (cdp.pl, gamesrepublic, techland store or muve.pl), because Steam price calculator is unreal for my country.

Simply in Poland for new game I pay 100 złoty (polish zloty) (~22 euro) for digital key or 120 złoty (28 euro) for BOX. If I buy it on Steam, I need to pay in euros, so this same game I should pay 49 euro, so this is about 215 polish zloty.
So until steam not provide support for my currency, many gamers in my country, not bying in Steam and buying only cheap games or only in Poland stores.

I hope you understand my opinion and why people in Poland skip steam?

So maybe anyone know, If steam plans to introduce a new currency?
I don't know about Steam but I know we have support for PLN on GOG :)

Game porter Ethan Lee on packaging games for Linux

I really wish that he'd also mentioned for developers to stop making 32-bit versions of anything. 32-bits on Linux is dead as far as I am concerned and having a 64-bit build should reduce the dependency on runtimes or needing to pull a bunch of libs from a distro's package manager.
