Notice: this game comes with a 32-bit binary only
Oh, well…
If the devs make a 64-bit version, we'll put it up :)

Defender's Quest Will Be Getting A Native Linux Port With Its Free HD Update

Quoting: boltronicsI finished Defender's Quest some time ago. It was fun, although frustrating that I had to play it under Wine due to no GNU/Linux build being available. In fact, Steam and GOG still don't seem to have a native builds listed.
We're waiting for the HD version of Defender's Quest due to the fact that the original Linux version of Defender's Quest uses a non-standalone version of Adobe AIR.

The HD version is Linux native without Adobe AIR and so the best thing for us would be to give that version instead...unless you LIKE having Adobe AIR on your system :)

I'll take that as a sign of interest. :)

What I'd like to know is if it's purely personal or is there a chance GOG might be interested in this game?
Anytime you see me expressing interest, it's personal :) Roguelikes are my favorite genre so any news about roguelikes interests me :)

As for GOG being interested or not, I can't really say one way or the other, NDA and all that :)

What Have You Been Playing Recently, And What Do You Think About It?

I'm still going through my PosChengband addiction :D If you're looking for a good roguelike and you're not afraid of ASCII, then this is the game for you.

Funny thing about this particular roguelike is that the Linux version is not as user-friendly as the Windows version which a) runs perfectly via Wine and b) is easier to configure than the Linux version. Also, this game has a quest where you fight against Bull Gates and Micro$oft sooo there's that :P

"When it's done" is all I got, sorry :/
