I tend to wait for big Steam sales when the piddly cosmetic stuff is dirt cheap.

People complain about the Paradox DLC model, but they are, in fact, one of the most generous developers.

Steam Direct, the self-publishing system on Steam will cost developers $100, Curators getting an update too

Quoting: Mountain Man$100 is way too low. Junk games and scammers can easily make back 10x that or more before their stuff gets flagged and pulled. I think $1000 would have been better.
1000$... really? Why not 10K?? or even more? In fact, why allow anybody to publish something on the platform that only purpose is publishing something?
Oh, cool, the strawman fallacy.

Oh give me break. Of course there is interest in a Linux version. Why do developers even bother asking this question?
The question is: How large is the interest? Could a port be worth it? Is it worth the risk?
Yeah, you're not going to get that information through an informal, voluntary survey on a message forum. You need to do an accrual marketing study.

Total War games have always been a bit of a pig. Curiously, Total Warhammer seems to be the best running of the bunch even though it's the newest.

Small site update in regards to the moderation queue, which is now live on article comments

Does this affect your freedom of speech if I think you're being naughty and idiotic and force the queue to always be on for you? No. Very few sites don't moderate comments, don't be silly.
Too many people misunderstood what freedom of speech is anyway. You have the right to say whatever you want within the law, but nobody is obligated to grant you a platform from which to say it. Don't want to be moderated? Then start your own website where you will be able to exercise freedom of speech to your heart's content.

Quoting: ExpalphalogI do not understand the aversion towards asking for something that you want.

This is the first time since my switch to Linux that I am starting to see the "toxic elitism" that Windows users always accuse us of exhibiting. Shame on you. If you don't want the game, ignore it. If you do, saying so won't hurt anything.
It's not elitism. Of course there is interest in games for Linux. It's a silly question, that's all.
