Quoting: nishazzarDwarfs... sci-fi setting... looks a little bit like some kind of a modern version of "The lost vikings"... instabuy if it performs good on linux :wub:Lost Vikings was the first thing I thought of, too.
Looks like Total War: Rome II might not be coming to Linux & SteamOS now

Everything I've read indicates that Rome II is still a mess even after a dozen patches, so I suppose it's no great loss if it doesn't come to Linux. I'm perfectly happy with Empire, which seems to be where the series peaked anyway.
Hand of Fate is a brilliant game, you should really give it a go on Linux & SteamOS

So is this a collectible card game like Hearthstone where you have to buy dozens of "booster packs" to stay competitive? Or is everything included for one price?
Ori and the Blind Forest developer clarifies why a Linux port is up to Microsoft

"...you [guys] should reach out to Microsoft themselves - Maybe they'll hear your voices and ask us to do the port."
Fat chance. I think Microsoft is (finally) starting to see Linux as a legitimate long-term threat. Why do you think they made Windows 10 a "free" uprgrade?

I've been saying for years that Kickstarter and "early access" are basically scams, especially given the fact that there are pretty much zero safeguards in place, and contrary to the best practices of capitalism, the consumer and not the producer takes on 100% of the risk. Furthermore, the consumer has zero recourse if the producer fails to fulfill whatever promises he made to attract funds.
I have never contributed to Kickstarter or early access, and I never will.

Quoting: CaldazarThey lie. It's an O.K. game but nowhere close to Diablo 3 in terms of innovation. It's too much stuck in the past and plays like an uninspired rehash of Diablo 2. Diablo 3 still feels new and fresh, partly because its core mechanics are amazing and partly because Blizzard hasn't stopped working on it since release.Quoting: Mountain ManThat's pretty much my gold standard for the hack-n-slash genre, and while I regularly play Diablo 3 in Wine, I'd love to find a good native Linux alternative. What's wrong with Torchlight 2? There are a lot of reviewers who think that it actually is the better game compared to Diablo 3.

Game is still in early access, so beware.
So how does it compare to Diablo 3? That's pretty much my gold standard for the hack-n-slash genre, and while I regularly play Diablo 3 in Wine, I'd love to find a good native Linux alternative.

I know everyone doesn't celebrate the same occasions and holidays and what-not, so I will simply say Happy Holidays and wish you all the very best.Screw political correctness and just say, "Merry Christmas." Anybody who doesn't like it can shove off.

Speculation: A job posting for Elite Dangerous hints at possible future Linux support

I was put-off of Elite: Dangerous because of the scammy nature of their early access program (charging something like 4 times the price for the "privilege" of beta testing), and I'm not entirely sure I want to support the developers because of it.
