Quoting: Mountain ManWe're still niche, and that's a problem. Developing for Linux is more attractive than ever before, but we're still a tiny percentage which makes long-term support a problem for many studios.
VR is much more niche than Linux and there are several VR technologies, but that doesn't stop publishers...

This is not about the logic of market share; is about the emotions and personal point of views of each CEO.
Keep in mind I'm referring to long-term support. Most VR games are one-off releases.

Paradox to trial a subscription system to help with DLC overload for Europa Universalis IV

Quoting: 14As someone who has thought about buying the game many times but hasn't yet, I can only agree that the DLC overload is daunting. I don't want to put that much research into the purchase of a video game.
My suggestion to newcomers to Paradox games is don't worry about DLC until you've gotten comfortable with the base game, which offers a complete experience in and of itself. Only then should you look over the DLC and see which ones appeal to you and mesh with your play style.

I had forgotten that Stadia was even a thing. Seems like there was lots of hype about it, then it was released, and everybody promptly ignored it. Just doesn't seem like its made much of a splash.

When Kickstarter goes wrong for indie games: Drift Stage

This is why it is my personal policy to never buy a game unless I'm willing to accept it "as is" without any expectation that it will be fixed or improved in the future.

While they're at it, I'd love to see them introduce an option for lossless and high res audio files.

How much credit can be given to Valve's Linux efforts for keeping Microsoft in check?

If a game you've purchased is ever discontinued or pulled from the Steam store, it remains in your library and can still be downloaded from the Steam servers.
