Another scam from a scam developer. I knew this game was a bad bet when they blew through their initial Kickstarter and Early Access funds in two-years with nothing to show for it and then asked customers to double-down with a second donation so they could start again from scratch. Anybody with any sense will stay far away from this trash.

Quoting: slaapliedjeThere's just been a lot of fishy stuff surrounding this thing, such as missing the original target date with no explanation, no working prototypes being publicly demoed, and company reps who don't seem to know anything about their own product [External Link]. It's hard not to draw parallels between the Atari VCS and the infamous Phantom console [External Link] from Infinium Lab [External Link].Quoting: Mountain ManIt's easy to "upgrade" the specs when you're dealing in vaporware. Is it technically vaporware until after it's supposed to have come out, and then doesn't?
I mean you could say anything is vaporware until it's released. But I wouldn't assume it's vaporware until it's past time it's at least announced to be released.
But you're right, they can change the specs easily when the system isn't out and about. The question is, will it be like a Mac and have soldered on memory? Or will it be user upgradable?

Quoting: EikeNo, it really doesn't make sense. Why promise Linux support and use a cross platform engine if the developer is just going to break its cross platform compatibility?Quoting: Mountain ManSo they're waiting for an engine that already supports Linux... to support Linux. In case this is supposed to be a joke:
Makes sense.
Yes, that absolutely makes sense.

A look at the second backer build of the dark XCOM-like Phoenix Point

Man, this looks so much like XCOM and XCOM 2 that I'm almost expecting Firaxis to sue the developer. The art design and interface are strikingly similar to the point that it could legitimately cause confusion among consumers.

You know, studios could be a lot more creative with their advertising art for fantasy RPGs since every one seems to use a variation of the exact same image. It gets to the point where I will often overlook a new game simply because the "box art" looks so familiar that I assume I've already seen it before.
For that matter, the in-game art isn't much more distinctive.

Was always disappointed that the official version never had Linux support since it should have been a simple enough game to port, but this is the next best thing.
