So all I have to say is "I love DRM free games!" and I'm in? Sure thing, boss.

Looking forward to the new Kubuntu update, too.

Quoting: 14Diablo 3 killer? I guess I didn't know we were waiting for one.
Well, I have been. I just haven't found anything that's as fun and addictive as Diablo 3. Torchlight 2 isn't bad. Victor Vran has its charm. But Diablo 3 is the one I keep returning to.

Quoting: hercPerformance is not that great when there are multiple enemies on screen at the same time, dipped down to about 15 fps at some point.
I noticed that in the video. Performance looked marginal. But it is still in development, so hopefully they'll get things sorted out in time for release.

It otherwise looks pretty decent. Maybe we'll finally get our native Linux Diablo 3 killer.

Can we can talk about the possibility of Valve releasing new games? I'm excited because as someone who once used Steam on OSX and bought a Steam Controller, I got the "Sorry the Steam Controller didn't work on OSX, so here's all of our games, past, present, and future, for free" deal. I thought I'd never get to make use of it for anything but Valve's back catalog.

The developer of Helium Rain gave an update on their sales, low overall sales but a high Linux percentage

Wait, they're complaining about low sales, yet they're still in "early access"? Do developers even understand what "early access" is?

I haven't played this game in a long time. Did they ever address the performance issues?

Quoting: ColomboReally? I would say that it is not so good. It has a good potential, but the potential was not utilized sufficiently.
Who cares? It's free!

(For now...)

Rise of the Tomb Raider will release for Linux this month

Quoting: Mountain ManI'm happy for people who like this series. I thought the 2015 Tomb Raider was a thoroughly mediocre on-a-rails experience, so I won't bother buying this one, but the good news is that there are so many top-quality games available for Linux these days that I can afford to be picky. :D
I think that's a little unfair. It certainly isn't nearly as good as the original developers - the writers especially - and mainstream reviewers thought it was, but it had its moments. I'm not sure where you're getting “on rails” from. The narrative tends to railroad the player (on at least two occassions, Lara could have shot the boss guy and ended the whole thing there and then, but inexplicably didn't because story), however there were plenty of open areas that rewarded exploration, and until just before the final battle you can return to any of them at any time.

That said, I first played through it on the Xbox 360 and I still haven't bothered to finish it on Linux yet. Like so many modern “AAA” games, it doesn't really invite a second playthrough.

NVIDIA dropping support for 32bit Linux this month, also dropping Fermi series support

Anybody running a 32-bit OS in 2018 probably doesn't have the hardware capable of running any game released in the past few years anyway.
