Anybody whose ever tried to setup an Apple OS virtual machine knows that it's a pain in the ass and undoubtedly deliberate.

I got it to build but not to run. Some error with default-run in the .toml file. Their documentation could use some love.

I am coming at this from a fairly isolated position as I do not dip my toes into social politics. All I know is that a figure which I respect has come under attack for what appear to be opinions and feelings.

So we have the head of a computer movement stepping down because... commentary on the latest headline case? Which also has nothing to do with computers.

Don't be surprised if in the next few days, articles are published detailing: John Smith, CEO/PR Rep/Analyst/whatever of Microsoft has graciously assumed the role of president of the FSF.

Maybe I am a nihilist for seeing a coordinated takedown in all of this but it's not like that kind of thing hasn't happened before.

One definite difference between PCs and consoles is that a PC can emulate old consoles, but a console cannot emulate old PCs (or other old consoles for that matter). General purpose computing for the win!

Or, more accurately, console's true masters do not allow PC emulation to be run.

This will be great for anyone who wants a 3rd party to have complete control over their access to games. At that point, you're not even renting. You are merely visiting the zoo, looking on from a distance at a caged animal which has lost all of it's freedom. Admittance fee? $20.
