'The Last Leviathan', a physics-based, ship building and destruction adventure game in Early Access for Linux

People generally reduce early access to "ea" which unfortunately gets easily confused for Electronic Arts. I wish I was smart enough to offer a better name.

Quoting: devlandMisleading title.
It's not released. It's early access.
You guys make this error way too often.
My miscreant name appears near the like of this critical comment [External Link] so I feel I must explain. I've been snagged with this error before, and not just on GOL either. I try to maintain a very small number of early access games in my library because these things tend to stay early access far beyond their alleged launch date. Can we maybe use another term for these situations instead of "released to"?

Septerra Core, an rpg from 1999 is another Wine-port from Topware Interactive

I guess we can say WINE is spiritually the new DOSbox. There is an entire horde of games from between ~1999 to ~2007 that could use these faux-ports. Like you say, I don't really care how they get to my display so long as the installation and runtime is seamless.

The Steam 2016 Halloween sale has some nice Linux games for cheap

My store page is properly filtering Linux-only titles ever since adding it to preferences. I wonder why it doesn't work for so many other people.

EDIT: Damn, Killing Floor 2 is cheap right now. A real shame they're dragging their feet on the Linux release.

Quoting: BeamboomNever had this happen to me on a regular Ubuntu Gnome system. In my experience this is probably the best port we got today. Right up there with Divinity: Original Sin, who also were an excellent port.
Since I seem to be the only one to experience these issues, it is probably my set up.

Why GNU/Linux ports can be less performant, a more in-depth answer

Quoting: swickPretty sure it doesn't compliments you, or anything you said. Even saying it complemented your article would be a gross overestimation of what your article provides.
Bro you're complaining on a site which regularly posts articles which consist of a large image and 2-5 sentences. Nobody expects to get a degree in visual computing by reading GOL.

Feral Interactive's Linux ports may come with Vulkan sooner than we thought (UPDATED)

Quoting: BlackBloodRumMaybe now we will find out just how well Vulkan can really perform on wait hang on what OS? oh yeah. GNU/Linux! :woot:
Hold up, it's still going to be just a port. We will only truly know once a game has been built from the ground up for Vulkan.

ARK does have a whole selection wheel of emotes, in fact. I guess nobody uses them?

Does anybody else have issues with Rocket League crashing + crashes permanently muting the game for all eternity? Maybe I should finally kill off my use of fglrx at this point?
