Ooh, you're going to trigger the GOL crowd hard with a rant like that. But you just shared your journey that led you to the realization of console's true purpose: to artificially manipulate the prices of games, services and accessories. That $260 you pay just to play SSB is to lock you tightly into a closed ecosystem zoo.

I have a few childhood favorites that I "keep alive" through emulation so projects like Dolphin are a godsend. Other than that, I don't touch console anything with a thousand meter pole.

Little late on this due to inbox spam (too many games getting released!)
Yeah, no kidding. That release calendar is ridiculous and we only have one more week of Septempber. You broke it down by month specifically because the page was getting too long?

Funny you should mention Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball as I was just wondering in their Steam discussion on a DRM-free release how in game items would be handled.

ARK: Survival Evolved gains a paid DLC while still being in Early Access, reviews are destroying it

After their most recent update, ARK crashes within 20 seconds of loading into the map. That in conjunction with all the Linux-specific graphical glitches has made ARK unplayable for me. Meanwhile, Wildcard wants me to pay for DLC to a broken and unfinished game?

This looks like a game for anyone who loves "turtling" in RTS games. Wishlisted.

Great news! Better late than never and I hope my gaming pals don't mind me joining into the scene so late. This is just another story to support the argument that developers should build for multiplatform from the start. They could have avoided all this porting headache.
