The Witcher 3 was apparently never planned for Linux

Quoting: mr-eggLinux is not getting any love from your typical cash grabbing AAA devs.

We are relying now (given Aspyr games has gone to the dark side) on two porting companies ( VP, Feral interactive ) three if you count code weavers to bring existing or older titles across.

What? Nobody is decrying the inaccuracy of these "irrelevant" surveys? I guess that only happens when the number goes down...

Become a futuristic gladiator in the upcoming 'Killing Room', an unforgiving rogue-like FPS

Quoting: Comandante oardoWhat means "rogue-like"?
It's a poor name for a genre because it is not self-descriptive like other genre names. Rougelike games often don't have a persistent save state, each playthrough is it's own session. Death is permanent.

Speculation: It's looking like Rocket League may finally arrive on Linux in September

1. While there is still a huge playerbase, the numbers are already dropping and this doesn't bode well for Linux getting in so late.

2. Others have already had years to practice. If you planned to jump in and be able to compete above the casual level, there is a lot of catching up to do. Hopefully not too late.

If he feels this way about the project then the game should be left up for users to play for free. It's better to have anyone play your game, paid or free, than not at all, right?

CRYENGINE is planning to add in Vulkan support around October for the 5.3 release
22 Aug 2016 at 6:38 pm UTC

IIRC there is only one CryEngine Linux game on Steam and it's a wintersports themed game. This news is more exciting when you imagine projects like Star Citizen might take advantage Vulkan.
