Quoting: dmantioneIt does that if you have configured Steam to show Windows games on the front page. If you tell it to show only Linux games, your queue will also contain only Linux games.
So where's the setting to change this?

Quoting: t3gIf Valve is shifting focus away from SteamOS (in favor of VR), what makes you think developers and publishers are going to spend the extra effort if Valve is losing interest?
What gave you the idea that Valve is shifting focus away from SteamOS? It's a large and flexible company. They can have multiple focuses.
"Echo chamber" effect, I think. He probably heard somebody else say it.

This really would be ideal for me to further develop my Python and maybe C++ but I'm afraid my admittedly newbish contributions would be rejected.

Developers are still unsure how to properly target Linux due to the many distributions that we have.
Which is why I don't mind things like snappy and systemd forcing some level of unification among distros.

I already want to buy it but I promised myself to stop bloating up my library with early access games. How much longer until this hits release?

In the name of feature creep, have you thought about writing a script to gather system info and then uploads it to user profile info?

I already run my own bash script on startup which verifies the number of CPU cores and total memory in GBs hasn't changed so I imagine it can't be much harder to gather everything else.

Lead by example, Liam and update your profile first.

EDIT: Wait, it just doesn't show up in the info box.

Quoting: wleoncioGOG is really trying to empty everyone's wallet before Steam. I like this competition. :)
Sadly I've actually held off buying some things because of convenience: I prefer DRM-free, but GOG hasn't released Galaxy for GNU/Linux. Real competition might start (for GNU/Linux) if GOG would actually do that.
Eh, I'm still buying games from GOG first despite the Galaxy delay. I value DRM-free way above convenience.

This project badly needs an animator. I'm pretty sure those are statues sitting in the driver seats.

For many, DD1 has issues with mouse sensitivity when in first or third person perspective. Even with my DPI turned all the way up on my gaming mouse, it takes several sweeps across my mouse mat just to turn the camera. This isn't a problem with bird's eye perspective, however.

The other issue is that gems don't gravitate towards players in the Linux version. This requires PhysX and while it's not a game breaker early on, once you get farther into the game you'll be wishing they fixed that bug.
