Is it safe yet to start dunking on Apple people for representing a vanishing 1.~% gaming marketshare?

I found a few unity (or maybe unreal) linux native games that don't launch. Probably unrelated to this patch.

Open source strategy shooter Unvanquished gets a big new release with SDL3

One of the handful off fully FOSS games to actually look and feel like a commercial product. Regrettably, I have only ever poked around solo in singleplayer.

Unvanquished stands more as a proof.

Baldur's Gate 3 gets a Native Linux version to improve it on Steam Deck

I was getting ready to eat my socks and then I saw the note about Steam Deck only. I'm left pondering how one might go about masquerading their Linux gaming system as a "Steam Deck" in order to obtain the native download. And then to check what happens when invoking the game binary from terminal (or other hacky things to see if it will run).

Still, an overall positive development.

I'm planning getting back into Steam and games in part because there is finally upward momentum, and I feel I've let down the team by being away from it for so long. I've also stopped masquerading my web browser as "Windows 10" in a paltry effort to contribute usage share stats.

im not sure if emulator is the right term, but i like it as an concept.
I didn't see any clarification on their site, but I suspect that the term emulator is being misused by the project when they are in fact doing a *reimplementation*.

With a tendency to over focus on games losing native support, I haven't given enough appreciation for the little triumphs such as this. Engine reimplementations are the perfect candidates to extend native support with.
