SteamVR is supposed to abstract things where I could technically use my rift DK2 and razer hydra for this right? I really like VR (enough to get a dev kit) but I'm not sure I can warrant getting another (finished) headset considering there's quite limited support.
Victor Vran Overkill Edition announced (two new DLC)

Can anyone confirm/deny that current owners will get the DLC free? I enjoyed this game and will be playing it either way, but I dont think its going to be free.

"You don't need to buy the Overkill Edition. The two new DLCs will be available for purchase from our Victor Vran Steam Store page."I'm reading that as "Existing owners dont need to buy the FULL new edition, because the DLC will be available separately for purchase" ie - overkill is base game + 2 DLC.. so just buy the 2 DLC.

Rocket League should now perform better on Mesa with radeonsi

Ironically, the freezes are now longer and occur more often for me. (rx480 + amdgpu + mesa 13.0.4 on 4.9.7 kernel). Maybe thats just coincidence since all the games Ive been joining lately Ive been getting dropped in during a goal instant replay. which runs smooth after a small hiccup, and then when the countdown to kickoff starts, the game freezes until 5-10 seconds after kickoff. and then inevitably someone rage quits because they got scored on, and the game freezes another 5-10 seconds. So it might not be "worse", but the freezes are still definitely there.
Do I need mesa 17, or kernel 4.10, or is this just not actually shipped everywhere yet? `find -mtime -7` seems to indicate no files in the rocket league folder have changed in the past week on my machine :(

What Happens When You Request A Refund On Steam?

Quoting: EikeInteresting stuff about it from developers, commented by TotalBiscuit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPUToCNq-iA [External Link]Every point I heard him make was either "this could happen anyway" or "it's not actually statistically relevant" or "if you make bad games, you should give people their money back"
One thing he mentions is that you only need one copy of a game to initiate an avalanche of illegal copies, and that it doesn't really matter if that one is refunded or not.
Logitech F310 Gamepad Review On Linux

I have 2 of these (you can get them dirt cheap!).
I was having kernel freezes playing Shadow Warrior. Someone pointed out that there was an xinput issue with an unofficial patch that fixed it (as the person was having the same issue in Borderlands the Pre-Sequel).
He pointed me to https://steamcommunity.com/app/233130/discussions/0/611702631210587760/ [External Link] which pointed me to http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-input/msg31446.html [External Link] "it's a kernel-patch for xpad that is supposed to fix crash that come from too much rumbling-requests." This is from may2014 and was still an issue as of last month, so I can only presume it hasnt been merged anywhere yet. My solution was to unplug my controllers anytime I play a game that doesnt explicitly require them (and as such, I've become less likely to play games that need a controller, because Im lazy).
Great controllers, but be aware that certain games in linux don't mix well with controllers.
