Quoting: chrWell, I don't know how much time you have for gaming, but I have to ration mine carefully ;-)Quoting: no_information_hereWell done to their team! Very well-deserved numbers.Three months? I'm intrigued.
For me, this game is like Civ. I don't dare re-install it on my computer for fear of losing all my free time for (another) 3 months.

Struggling with regular expressions? Then visit 'Regex Crossword', a site to learn them through a Sudoku-like game

Looks brilliant. I have managed to mostly avoid learning regex so far. This is a good way to learn.

Personal rant:
Having played Bridge Constructor and Poly Bridge 1, I always get to a point where they are asking me to build a bridge 3 miles long using balsa wood and baling twine. I love engineering challenges, but my suspension of disbelief just gets broken. I would report to the city that a safe bridge is not achievable for the available budget.
Not as fun as sending trucks to their fiery doom, but that gets old pretty quick too.
I guess I hoped for a bit more structural realism without the ludicrous constraints. Maybe use earthquakes as a test mechanism instead of one fully loaded truck? Now that would be cool.
Edit: I realize that a lot of Poly Bridge is building ridiculous contraptions that jump and flip, so realism isn't exactly their aim. But my rant still stands in general.
(Hopefully many other people enjoy these games, since they are obviously made with a great deal of love.)

Nice. I just downloaded and played it. Very fun little journey.
Played with steam controller, performance fine (1050ti). No way to exit without forcing through the steam overlay, though.

Even if we don't enter details for every Linux system we have, it might be interesting to include an entry for the number of gaming capable linux machines that are in the member's household.

Quoting: Liam DaweThis survey has always been registered users only. The one before that, was a long time ago and was community-run. Even back then, it was often lower than what we have now so we're actually doing quite well on this system.Yes, I was thinking of the old one (long long ago...). It is good that you have more consistency now.

While I am a happy member of this site, I have been minimizing the ridiculous number of online logins that I have to maintain. About every 6 months I go through and try to figure out any that I don't use and where I can cancel my membership.
Others may be in the same boat...

Quoting: Liam DaweAm I right in guessing that the number of people filling out the survey dropped when you changed it to logged-in users only? That makes the results much more robust, but it cuts out a lot of casual entries that probably came from reddit and other high-traffic places.Quoting: PikoloIt's a bit sad only 2k people have filled out the statistics. I was expecting GoL readership to be much bigger! Our readership is huge (we get half a mil traffic monthly), but like all news sites you cut that down dramatically for actually registered users and then down again for people that interact with something like this.

Quoting: SalvatosIn tangentially-related news, Bandcamp is giving all sales proceeds to the artists today only to support them during this wave of cancelled tours. It’s a good time to pick up game soundtracks and support other artists you love.Yes, I love bandcamp. Have saved a few albums to pick up today.
Edit: Poor bandcamp is struggling under the load. Be patient if you go to find an album!
