GOG have new games up on GOG Connect, big sale still going

Quoting: scaineChasm, btw? Absolute excellent! Like Hollow Knight with pixel graphics, only better gameplay (no constantly working back to your shattered shell) and faster progression (I still have a few abilities to collect though) and less weird characters/atmosphere. It also features different weapon types and the enemies are generally less frustrating to deal with.

I realise that sounds like I'm shitting on Hollow Knight, but I really enjoyed the game, but couldn't get past its frustrating failures.

Chasm is really superb.
Thanks for the perspective. I didn't find Hollow Knight frustrating (just hard).

I am wary of the procedural generation in Chasm. It rarely works well - although Sundered nailed it, much to my surprise. It always seems to be an excuse to avoid hand-crafting levels. Does Chasm tie it well enough to the story?

Minigalaxy, a new open source simple GOG client for Linux

I have drifted away from GOG with the development of Proton. For Linux, it really is Valve's killer app.

In principle, I like what GOG does and Valve needs good competition to stay honest. My one question is: Do any of these FOSS clients support incremental updates? Downloading 2GB+ every time a dev patches their game is another reason I don't use GOG as much.

The main change seems to be four grip buttons on the back (instead of two). Maybe force sensitive this time.

Some thoughts on Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power

I remember enjoying it back when I played it. The new perspective didn't bother me much and the visual style, voice acting, and basic puzzle design were still good. Being only half a story was an issue, though.

Some day I might pick up number 4. Too bad it won't be native on Linux.

So, instead of HL 3 they release HL 1.5 in a form I can't play. Smooth...

Well, I still hope they sell a boatload of copies and start actually making more (real) games instead of only online crap I don't care about.

Great style. If it is as good as Hyper Light Drifter, that would be awesome...

Thanks for the heads-up. For $3 CAD, I thought it looked promising enough to pick up.

It is actually quite good. Remarkably polished. Challenging without being frustrating. The music is good for a simple puzzle game.

Quoting: no_information_hereI like that it will enable the steam overlay for the controller without forcing me into big picture mode.
It's always done that for me previously :s
Then why is this line in the update?

"Added support for enabling the Big Picture overlay when using controllers with the desktop client"
