Partly off-topic:

Just because SteamWorld has an area named Vectron, I have to leave this here...

SteamWorld Quest releasing end of May on Steam with Linux support

Well well well.

I am not interested in a "card" game. But, then again, I am not a big fan of procedural generation and SteamWorld Heist turned out brilliant. I will wait and see what the reviews say.

I have loved all their other games. Maybe this one can change my mind.

Edit:

Looks like it is already on the switch and has good reviews:

The first line gives me hope:
"Despite being full of cards, SteamWorld Quest doesn’t feel like a card game."

Himno, a free relaxing platformer with no enemies, no death and no real goal is now on Linux

I like it, but I can't figure out a lot of what is going on.

It seems to be one life and then everything resets if you fall in the water, so I am not sure "no death" is strictly accurate...

Edit: Maybe I am wrong about that. The level and district don't seem to reset now. Not sure what I was thinking.

Interesting game.

Edit 2 (later):

Played for a while longer. Now it does seem to reset your level if you fall in the water. It also suddenly resets after a certain number of doors are passed through. Last time I was level 22? Not really a big deal though.

Nice little concept game. It would be great to see a little more of the world and if he can put some storyline into number 2.

Quoting: buenaventuraIt worked perfect out of the box for me too, and it was really cool with the zipping yeah! And I love how it doesent put any lore into your face and overexplains things, it just is the way it is and you have to deduce things from environment etc. nice storytelling.
I was wondering how the storytelling was. Have had my eye on this one for a little while now.

Nice work. The site is getting very fancy.

This reminds me that I wish lots of sites could have a customizable RSS feed, but that is asking a lot since feeds are only used by about 12 of us...

Quoting: dudeman, this dude really does it for the linux community.
big respect
Ethan is a force of nature. It is hard to fathom the number of games he has ported as a one-man operation.

Please order your first "Reports over Time" graph by date rather than by count. The way it is sorted right now renders it really hard to read.

Thanks for doing the analysis. I am impressed by the high level of activity.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyI used to use it. In its heyday, it was the best desktop Linux there was, hands down.
Mandrake Bluebird and Dolphin are what convinced me to switch fully over to Linux.

Quoting: dpanterHave had this on ignore for a long time... read this article, watched the trailer, read some comments... still felt like ignore was the right choice.

Then I watched this review [External Link] and immediately wishlisted it. :)
Thanks! I just watched the review and then bought the game :-)
