Quoting: followerAssassin's Creed II still can't install -- I mean, it gets stuck at the disk space allocation phase, before uplay can even do anything. Weird.Quoting: Guestassassins creed III works flawlesslyI wonder if the UPlay fixes will allow Watchdogs 2 to work!

... so Proton 3-16.7 is supposed to "Restore previous functionality of the Uplay client."
I take it to mean that it still doesn't work. What else could that mean?

Quoting: stretch611Settling there was surely a long-term plan to help 20th Centiry tourism -- that, and the naughty pictures on the walls. *wink* *wink*In hindsight, it probably wasn't the best idea to settle next to a volcano. Why not? Look how famous it made Pompeii...

Quoting: GuestThere are talks about a mission that would orbit Europa and hopefully determine how thick is its layer of ice. And hopefully there would be following missions with a lander and later a cryobot -probably nuclear- that would melt a tunnel in the ice and explore the ocean beneath.I don't know, man ... I thought we weren't supposed to make any landings there. Otherwise all the other worlds are ours.

Quoting: ImnotarobotI wish that devs that do old school games would make sure that it works with old school hardware. Kind of feels dumb to have crappy graphics if there is no use for crappy graphics. The polygon count may be lower, but that's only one part of the equation; newer retro-inspired games make use of physics, # of interacting objects, lighting, etc., that require relatively powerful contemporary systems -- and are way beyond the capabilities of retro machines.

I'll get this game eventually; they seem to have got everything right.
... also I'd like to see another joke gif: Tux-headed Arnold sees Windows-headed Predator for the first time, and says "you're one ugly motherf..."

Quoting: BrisseI see you are using xfce and I'm not surprised. TearFree is enabled out of the box on most sane mainstream DE's like Gnome and KDE. I'm not saying xfce is bad because it certainly has it's place, but the issue in your case isn't with AMD, it's with xfce's bad defaults.I get screen tearing even on intel integrated, with XFCE (compositor on).
