But probably more likely he found a girlfriend and....,
This is what happens when only one person maintains a branch. A common problem for Linux projects like this.

It's a great Linux game, and pretty good for a game based off the unstable linux support in the Unreal engine. Kinda due for a XCOM3 release really, and I'm pretty sure given the ending of XCOM2 its going to be Terror From The Deep reboot, which would be nice because it introduces a whole need playing field with new weapons and environments.
I just hope they don't ditch surface based missions also, like on oil rigs and ports etc...

I dunno I think in China you could build a house in 1 day, they have been building stuff overnight or in 1 day for a long time because their labour force is that fast to mobilise! In the US/western World, not so much, we are slow and weighted down with bureaucracy!
Unprecedented construction of vertical gardens would probably go a long way however!
More full time workers on these projects would probably go a long way again.
Anyway, just saying, money can solve allot more problems then people think. If your a powerful corporation that is, the issue is you must consider if the losses are worth it for the money spent!
Bethesda are even more anti Linux then Microsoft!

Quoting: ElectricPrismYou can't build a house in 1 day by spending extra money.

Quoting: ScooptaIf MS bought Bethesda I'd be so sad. I'm still waiting for my Linux port of Skyrim.

2018 is the year of expensive GPU's, like double to triple launch day prices in some places. A tough year for VR adoption I think. I'm sure the HMD makers will feel that. Will be surprised if we see any new top end cards in 2018, AMD also not interested in competing with 1080ti until 2019, IMO its a mess!

"Developers, developers, developers!!!" then pulls his hamstring.. lol. That guy is hilarious.
Anyway with drivers becoming quite good under linux now, and linux 4.16 looking to being the Goldilocks of optimisations for many things, coupled with all the dx to vk stuff, its looking good for Linux really.

It's time to bug Feral Interactive about future port requests once again

ToBeHonest the directx-to-vulkan projects (there are 3 of them) are looking quite promising for the future of windows games under Linux. I mean a native port would be nice but I don't think any of these devs would do that even if they released it officially for Linux (they would just redirect rendering calls just like how wine projects are).
As for what game Feral should port next..... well give us a list of the developers who have said maybe! it seems to me that only VERY FEW developers are even open to the idea of their games on Linux which leaves a very limited unknown selection for us to choose from. I've always said we need CLASSIC and POPULAR AAA titles on Linux, either all.
If GTA5 got a linux release, it would be earth shattering indeed, but as we have found out over the years, some developers are very hostile towards linux, even when someone else is doing most the work for them...
