It's still the best priced handheld.
I did however pick up a secondhand Ally and installed Bazzite on it, not bad. Has the Z1E APU in it, I did upgrade the battery and cooling.

Apparently on NVIDIA frame gen may crash some users and also the frame rate could be locked at your display refresh rate even when turning off vsync etc.
Also Denuvo is banning some linux users, because, yeah why not I guess......

Well people who are hooked into GamePass or Kernel-AC are always excluded from any transition to Linux.
The nanosecond they realise they loose those things, the drive will be formatted and restored to Windows.
NOW If GamePass and Windows subscriptions get too close, then I think that will certainly sway even more people.
MS will be increasing sub cost of GamePass soon, and Windows may well become a subscription service in the soon future. Pay $20 a year to start with, with that value going up each year.

I hope these fixes are not title specific and more about fixing global issues in proton so that we don't have these problems hitting other games that do the same thing.

playing XCOM2 Long War Of The Chosen big mod pack now, mostly its stable with the rare turn-free (vanilla issue related to cutscenes)

If UE5 could fix their terrible default configs and performance issues along with EXCESSIVE requirement to use upscaling and sometimes framegen... then I wouldn't mind so much... but that is where we are today.

Oblivion has NO steam Deck friendly config afaik. it will give you 10-20fps.
