gnomedesktop, hmm not for the arch build, does need gtk3 however. I don't see the big issue, I'm using plasma5 atm.

Needs scanning for already installed games, needs to also be able to scan for GOG games and humble store. ATM it assumes everything is uninstalled, even if the files are installed and flagged as installed by steam.

I think Russian steam keys sell for like 1/3rd the cost compared to western countries, it's the only way they can get decent sales numbers in some places unfortunately. A universal price for everything would be nice in a perfect world however... but not practical in the end.

Quoting: BielFPsNice news. Unfortunately since Borderlands 3 will be Epic Store exclusive,

I think I read somewhere it was only going to be exclusive for 6 months, so maybe not too bad..

Another small Steam Client Beta is up, better support for NTFS mounts on Linux

I think that happens because the files are different between linux and windows versions. The only way to get around this is make a SteamWindows library and move your windows versions to that folder and never connect that to steam within linux, this way you can keep both native and windows versions.

You can launch the windows version via steamplay if your comparing performance by using the add non-steam app shortcut option!

for ntfs you gotta set correct UID, and there are a couple flags you can use to improve performance, plus the compat folder should be symlinked to the home/steam folder location.

Most of its documented in the steamplay wiki which absolutely nobody reads apparently!

Quoting: jarhead_hit's sad to see most people using products for a company that doesn't care about helping open source.

Maybe one day AMD will start making top end cards that can fit in a ITX case again... I have a 1080TI mini, show me the AMD version? it has never existed! So really its AMD's own fault. People buy what suits them, and so far NVIDIA is the only company that makes cards for EVERYBODY no matter what, you want speed and ITX form factor, no problem... (one example).

I think Valve should also release with this a wireless upgrade pack, this whole tether thing is a turnoff for VR, at least for me.

Waiting for the day when Vive and Rift companies suddenly decide to go for large FOV headsets (110fov is not large, 180 is). I really don't like the idea of wearing a ski-mask, surprised so many people are content with that, it would drive me mad!

"Downgrade your price"

If price is your only concern then you can just get the first gen headsets for a bargain, second hand that is.
