Quoting: cxphergmailcomApple wants to make things exclusive to hardware as usual. Just like their stupid NFC implementation, they have Metal. At least there is MoltenVK that should make it easier to go all in on Vulkan on mac as well. At least as long as it does what it claims to do.

Quoting: OLucasZanellaI don't get it, do you have to own the game for testing? That's too bad.No, it doesn't hurt any principals here.

Cool thing, but I've no respect for Phil Fish after his opinion about streaming content.
Anyone not following, here's an article about it:

I know he is not the one porting it, but still, I suppose he gets revenue somewhere along the line.

Quoting: babaiYou tell us that you're all for freedom, and don't support a freedom friendly company... that makes you a hypocrite. You've clearly no idea what the word hypocrite means, or freedom for that matter.

Linux is all about freedom, and now you are telling me what I should buy? So much for freedom. Thanks.

Quoting: babaiIf you are using Linux for freedom/open source idealism, ideologically you SHOULD buy AMD products and not tell me how a 1060 overpowers an RX480 today. AMD had no obligations towards supporting MESA or opening up millions of lines of DPM code for their chips. They still did.Oh please. "SHOULD buy" - are you kidding me?
Support a company that supports your platform.
If you don't follow the open source philosophy and using Linux just because you like say the millions of widget themes it supports or for any other reason, buy Nvidia.
