I noticed the lack of features previously mentioned when I saw their post on Steam this morning. However, I didn't even catch the omission of Linux.

Already removed from my wish list. I have no confidence this game will be worth it in the long run.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger may come to Linux and Mac depending on Windows sales

Quoting: Feist"It's something we'll be looking at depending on the windows sales."

I've always felt a little confused about statement like this.
Don't be. It's the very nice way of saying "no". If the Mac version isn't even on the road map, SteamOS/Linux isn't even in the cards. Basically, the game would have to become hugely popular to do so. Operational costs would be best focused on the next project.

As Perkeleen_Vittupää said, it's an artificial excuse.

(Edit: I meant "focused", not "adjusted". Early AM headache and need for caffeine)

Franchise Hockey Manager 3 is about to drop this year as well. If they are using the same engine, might as well bring it over to Linux.

"Also, I do wish they would say Windows and not PC, such an annoying term."

I thought I was the only one who get super annoyed when I see that.

Also: Double Fine's tweet should have just said "money, money, money, give me your money! You may or may not get an actual game out of us."

Rocket League due on SteamOS & Linux very soon [Updated]

Quoting: AnxiousInfusionMurphy's Law dictates that by the time Rocket League releases for Linux, Rocket League player base will have vanished and gone off chasing the next new Windows-only game.
Then we can use the WNBA's old slogan: "it's our turn".

I never realized how self-denigrating that slogan was until now. Yikes.

Oh, you just trolling just to be trolling. Oh, behave.

It's a business. Porting code is an operational cost. Why are some folks a little disappointed by this? If it comes to Linux, great! It's not going to be today if not ever. Just relax, there is way more important stuff to be up in arms about.
