For me it's not useless ;)
It arrives late enough, so I can finish my current games. If I bought it earlier, it would sit in the backlog anyway. And my wishlist is filled with more than enough other, interesting games. Also since the port is later, it's more likely there will be a sale. All in all, for me it will be the same as with LiS 1 and LiS BtS. I won't play it a release, but I will buy it on sale and play it a little bit later. I can live with that ;)

Wait, next year it will be in early access on Steam? Then I don't see what's the problem with being on Epic store before. It will not even be finished, when launching on Steam. Calm down guys and let the Epic-Store-guys do the beta testing ;)
Valve making steps to address 'off-topic review bombs' on Steam

Btw. it's really easy to Show the filtered Reviews. It's more easy than usually and with a few clicks you can see why a game was review bombed. Just look for a star in the review score and click on it and from there go further.
This even helps pro-review-Bombers. You will be very quickly able so see if a game was bombed because some stupid Youtuber or DRM or Microtransactions and decide accordingly.

Quoting: facePlantedHi guys, from Valve's official announce: https://steamcommunity.com/games/593110/announcements/detail/1808664240333155775 [External Link]Fair enough. This Question does not appear at the News displayed when I go to steam. It always displays the German version (web and client) which only has two Q&A. Well, I guess we now should wait for the first review bombs to happen and see if this system works.
Q: Does this mean you'll be going back to identify and remove old off-topic review bombs?
A: Based on internal conversations and consultation with some of the partners that have experienced off-topic review bombs, we decided not to unilaterally grandfather in what's happened in the past.

Guys, put off your tin foil hats. The only game I could find that is filtered is:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/822240/Animal_Jam__Play_Wild/ [External Link]
This is not a AAA game by all means. It really got review bombed without a valid reason.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider still has all reviews, Metro still has all reviews, Firewatch has still all reviews, DOTA 2 has all. I could only find this one game. If anyone has more examples I'd be very interested. But right now it absolutely looks totally sensible. Steam should have filtered out Metro's reviews, too imho...

Ah, just found a good example for the Youtube-Review-Bombing:

Here it makes absolutely sense!
(Tomb Raider and Metro are not filtered, btw.)

Well, before just putting out pitchforks, we should remain objective. There are instances with games being review bombed and these reviews having nothing to to with the quality of the game. For example Metro series because Metro Exodus is an Epic store exclusive. This has nothing to to with the quality of the game and should not be taken into consideration for the rating in the store. Another example being Shadow of the Tomb Raider because it got a sale soon after release. Some other games because of some Youtuber.
Because of that, this feature might be not necessarily anti-consumer, but actually pro-consumer. So, if anyone has info which games' ratings were purged, it would be nice to know. Because then we can see if this system is used in a sensible way.

Valve's card game Artifact has lost almost all players and designer Richard Garfield has left

Also I'm a little bit irritated why we as Linux gamers should call Artifact a failure and a dead game. Remember, Linux also has very few users/games. But I have no problem finding matches in Artifact and I also have no problem finding games on Linux.

Quoting: subValve should do some fan service and bring old franchises back to life.If Valve would be only after cash cows, they would just sit on their franchises and make new sequels every few years like Call of Duty etc. With Artifact they tried something new. I rather have companies trying something new than just make sequel after sequel. On the other hand, the last Half Life was years ago, so a Half Life 3 would definitely not feel like a cash grab ;)
I guess, this would make people honor games like Artifact more,
as it doesn't feel like Valve is ONLY after cash cows.
Just my 2 cents.

I won't say it's shallow, after all it's an old school arcade racer. Those don't have the deepest mechanics. The drifting mechanic is not shallow, it's rather interesting as you have to plan your line. But I find the game itself is quite bland (perhaps this is what some criticize as shallow), it does not have as much identity and character as for example Outrun. Can't exactly tell why, but probably it's the track design/layout which is quite bland.
