"it is not as easy as clicking a button"
Well pardon my French, but no shit, really? I seriously question the intelligence of a developer that would think it was that simple.
I don't mean to be a jerk, but with how rampant this line of thinking seems to be, I'm starting to wonder if most of these developers know what the hell they are doing. Has game development become so dumbed down that any idiot can throw together a game? We've certainly heard this line a few to many times.
The worst part is that I have actually seen quite a few incompetent fools bring their "games" to Linux. It takes a special kind of stupid to completely back yourself into a corner, knowing from the beginning that you shouldn't.
I would like to apologize for my rant of a comment, but I can't be the only one who's frustrated by this.

If this site went down, I wouldn't know what to do when I open my browser. Seriously, I can't do anything productive until I visit GOL. Keep up the good work.

Quoting: liamdaweGraphics don't make a game. Sure it looks a little dated, but the gameplay looks fun. That's all well and good, but I've grown tired of games with dated graphics. Good gameplay is no excuse for poor art. Good games have both.

I would die if Doom came to Linux. A bloody, violent, and beautiful throwback to some of my favorite games. This is almost as good as getting GTA 5. To hell with the endless stream of strategy games. I want action.

Numerous posts about Vulkan. Doom gets ported to Vulkan, "not relevant to Linux gaming". Awful indie garbage gets a post. Is it even relevant to gaming at all? I know that Doom on Vulkan doesn't mean we are getting it. It still gives me hope. This crap just infuriates me. I have run out of fresh games to play, and I only have a handful on my wishlist. All the games I really want either aren't coming, or are a faint glimmer of hope on the horizon. But at least we have Kitten Rampage.

Been using compton myself. Took me forever to find the right options to completely eliminate tearing and I've been scared to touch it again since. I may have to try this.

Thanks for posting that bit about Doom on Vulkan. I had no idea. I think it is very much relevant for us, as Vulkan could be the bridge that brings us more developers. Also, I'd kill to play Doom, but of course, no tux, no bucks.
As for what I've been wasting my time on: Shadow Warrior for the third time. My ongoing struggle in Assault Android Cactus. And I'm still trying to finish Half Life 2: Episode 2. Damn Striders.
