Minecraft is set to get a huge update to the Nether with new mobs and biomes plus Bees

Bees? Neat! I wonder when the update will come out.

It might be time to generate a new world. My kids and I have been playing on a world that, while upgraded over time, was originally created 6-7 years ago.

Why did they make this game? Graphics, animations, gameplay, even the text in the game look exactly like Counter-Strike.

Quoting: SalvatosThis is in-home only, right? I couldn’t run a friend’s console while they’re at work?

Edit: From that twitter thread:

Yes, just run registration once, forward tcp 9295 and udp 9296 and 9297 and connect. Dyndns should work too. Theoretically you can also forward tcp 987 for wakeup, but I wouldn't recommend it because the way Sony did the authentication allows for a trivial replay attack.
I’m very curious to try this out if I can figure out what that means...
Sony supports this with Windows and I've played on a Windows laptop at work before from my home PS4! It will work the same.

Playing the PS4 on a Linux laptop is maybe my best use case... or maybe to a Pi hooked up to the TV since the PS4 is at my computer? The things we go through just to avoid moving the PS4 back and forth. :P

I like the built-in batteries of the PS4. It's rare that I run out of juice while gaming. When I do, I can plug in and keep playing while charging. After 30 minutes of that, I can unplug again and be fine for hours longer.

If my PS4 system were farther away, running out of power would be a bigger problem unless I bought a really long USB cable. As it stands, the PS4 is on my computer desk connected to one of my monitors.

I've been using a wired 360 controller for computer though. That's one of the reasons I got a wireless headset. I used to have three cables hanging off me when playing games, and it got old pretty fast. Now, it's sometimes one cable, most of the time none.

The absolutely crazy Streets of Rogue is now available on GOG

:S: Hmm... Steam vs GOG for a multiplayer game. I might lean to Steam for this one since Linux doesn't have a client for GOG. *grumble* It's just old-fashioned to try to get in a game with your buddies and everyone has to patch because you're running different versions. My friends also can't see when I'm already in the game and think, "Oh, I should join him." I love the principle behind GOG and have several games from them, even double dipping on multiple games, but Valve treats Linux gamers better. :(

20 BP for a wireless controller that also works on the Switch? Wow! I'll remember this article. I will have to take non-Steam games into account though.
