I love watching The International! As an American, of course I root for Evil Geniuses. :) I also think Team Liquid and PSG are fun to watch and I'm also a fair-weather fan, so I'm excited to see last year's winner (OG) play.

If I remember right, I played the demo like 20 years ago. I don't think I ever had the full game. This might be the time... but I'm not totally sure.

Being able to play games on a laptop is a great luxury. It makes LAN parties easier, and so they happen more often. Convenience has a cost. Not worth it to you? Fine. Don't buy it then. When I was a teen, my friends and I all had laptops that could play our favorite games, and so we met up really often. That was worth it.
Apart from gaming, many people at my company only have a laptop. They have extra monitors and peripherals at their desks. When they pick up their laptop and go to a meeting or home, they have their actual workstation with them.

Quoting: MrNilssonThe last few weeks I was switching between Linux Mint Cinammon and Manjaro KDE. By the way that was the first time I was using Linux ever.Congrats to you. Bold move! I dual booted for about two years until I realized that I hadn't booted into Windows for four months straight! That's when I was confident enough. :)
Yesterday I finally decided to go with Mint and installed the new 19.2 Cinammon version. It works flawlessly for me and I'm really excited that I finally deleted Windows 10.

Quoting: gradyvuckovicHonestly, I give up on GIMP, Krita all the way!Yup, I was waiting for someone to mention Krita. I haven't worked with it as much as GIMP, but it seems more intuitive.

These look pretty cool and I think one of my kids is ready for the first one. I bought both on GOG. I'll have to watch for patch news somehow since Galaxy doesn't exist for Linux! *grumble* Buying the first game was an act of fact due to the mentioned progression problem.
EDIT: I suppose the GOG library shows you when a new build is available, so I can check that every week or so.

This looks pretty great! I'm not sure that I want to buy it through Steam though. Steam doesn't accommodate multiple players in the same game the way several console games do. Yup, I know some Steam games have local co-op. None have what PS4 has where your buddy over the Internet that doesn't own a copy of the game can connect to your game and play in it (only some games have this, but no Steam games do).
No, I don't give DRM-free games to friends. That's not what I'm saying.
