Since this is Source 2 related, it would be nice to see Counter-Strike GO get the Source 2/Vulkan/threading updates too as the Linux port would benefit due to the high fps nature of the game.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive updated with a new map and updated terrorist model

Quoting: BlodofferBefore this update enabling HRTF would max out one CPU core. This has been fixed even though it wasn't mentoined in the changelog. Github [External Link]
I had that issue too and it would overload my CPU and cause my system to crash. When I brought it up, people would basically tell me to update my computer to fix it.

Btw, Valve did mention it in their changelog: http://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/2017/03/18198/ [External Link]

Editorial: On paying for Linux games when you already have a Windows version

No.

I have games that I bought prior to Linux gaming and won't pay extra. Especially for ports that perform much worse than the Windows one.

If that happens, ill just game on Windows 100%

The awesome looking FPS 'STRAFE' has been delayed, with no set Linux release date now

I just wish Valve used login and gametime stats instead of a silly survey. A survey that's rare on Linux but almost monthly on Windows.

Their methods are hurting Linux gaming as it can scare away new and existing developers and publishers.

I haven't heard of this game before and never will buy it. I don't crowdfund as it is glorified panhandling with no guarantees.

Mesa has been updated with a lot of cool features lately, but its too bad distros like Ubuntu are always behind.

The Talos Principle has another stable build with Vulkan improvements, much better than OpenGL

I'm confused. The post says stable build but you tell us to use the beta. Which one is it?

Looks like Telltale's 'The Walking Dead' may be coming to Linux

Quoting: ChiKinThe great thing is that all telltale games run on the same engine, so if you can port one, it shouldn't be hard to port the whole lot. I'm currently playing my way through Tales From The Borderlands on my Windows laptop. It's a great game!
I beat Borderlands, didn't play much of 2, and never played Pre Sequel. In order to understand Tales, do I need to play all of them?

The Wolf Among Us was my first Telltale game and it was amazing. It would be nice if the entire Telltale catalog was ported.

Valve have announced 'Steam Audio' an SDK of advanced audio tools, it will support Linux

Its funny how Valve complained about the Windows Store being a walled garden and then make their own software an even bigger one by releasing more and more APIs and libraries to force you to use Steam.

That's why gaming in Linux, if you use Steam, is no less of a closed platform than gaming on Windows. Non-free store to play non-free games. Oh and both work best using non-free AMD and Nvidia graphics drivers. You can say that amdgpu is open, but it requires non-free binary firmware.
